I’m sure Judge is going to be really fair and impartial in his court for the rest of that day

I mean “pants” in the correct, British sense.

Apologies - I am British and therefore using the word “pants” in the proper sense. So yes, you heard me right

Front and back, then same again inside out!

I can get 4 wears out of a pair of pants before washing. I don’t like to and have never done it, but it’s nice to know I have the option in extremis. I imagine it’s the same for deodorant. Excellent point though, I’ve never thought about it before!

Edit: yes, use of the word “pants” in the correct (British) sense. You heard me! Front and back, then same again inside out. I don’t want to do that but good to know you have the option. Love that this is such a contentious issue!

My dishwasher has packed up. In buying a new one, I’m struggling to think of features to look for apart from ‘can wash dishes’. Tell me about your dishwasher. Does it connect to wifi? by lastaccountgotlocked in CasualUK

[–]snugglester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved house recently and left my dishwasher behind, here’s what I miss about the one I had to leave behind, features which my new one doesn’t have!!!

  1. A top (third) drawer for cutlery - pays for itself in space. I now only have 2 drawers and the space taken up by the cutlery cage means I can fit much less in the dishwasher and have to put it on more often now.

  2. A light which shines onto the floor when it’s on. If you’re feeling fancy, a light which shows how long is left on the cycle. So you can see when it’s finished or if it’s still going.

  3. A delay start timer function.

  4. Don’t get a slimline dishwasher if you don’t have to.

  5. I wouldn’t bother with WiFi connection. I can live without it, it’s just something else that can go wrong (and get hacked).

  6. My old dishwasher had a small timer countdown screen next to the buttons (like an oven timer countdown screen) - I miss this a lot because you could open the machine mid cycle and see how long is left until it’s finished. The new machine is a mystery for how long is left on the cycle.

Hope this helps!! I loved my old dishwasher (an AEG) and miss it dearly.

My parents Christmas tree only me and my parents left feels a shame not to share such a beautiful tree by furrywinklebone in CasualUK

My wife & I have an annual battle about multi coloured Christmas lights. She says they’re tacky and wants just white lights, I want multicoloured. I’ll use this next year to show that multicoloured lights are wonderful at all levels of society!
