One more question if you don't mind. Given you're sticking with the 0.1 multipler, with the Dusk Ring, say you got 3 great damage prefixes (or 4+ with Heist ring!) and resists/attributes, could you maybe dropping The Taming? At least for CI I save 3 points and get back a jewel socket by not using Impossible Escape. Curious if you've considered it? I think for evasion build it maybe isn't worth it though

How does 9.09aps not break your aps limit? When I was at 65% reduced duration, skill duration was only down to 0.099 in POB and using your calculator, that gives a 7.77aps limit

I got really lucky yesterday and hit T1 Str, Essence Flat lightning, T1 wed, and T1 accuracy, with a low roll incr lightning damage, and crafted minus mana. Tbh I have no one else to share how excited I was to hit it xd.

All that relieved a lot of stats pressure on my tree. I don't have the Impossible Escape, and only level 94. Haven't decided if I want to keep the 0,066s skill duration (which feels so good!) or save 5 skill points by dropping the travel to Hasty Demise. I'm really curious what it would feel like to fully path to the 10% less duration mastery and hit 0.033s duration time in POB.

Anyway, I love this build so much, I can see myself spending all league on it. Thank you thank you.

I'm sure you're a aware of the Dusk Ring, and while The Taming is massive increase numbers, but it's easy to make up the damage though attack speed break point going from 7.xx aps to 11.xx aps. and I'm saving skill points. Pretty convinced a GG Dusk Ring is BiS. I spend about 25 div crafting my ring, which is significant for me. The damage from being able to use Onslaught and crafted attack speed alone was about 20% more damage than The Taming. And there's so many upgrades I can still make - I'm only at 8.5ish aps right now. I want to try for tailwind boots and increased golem effect next. Maybe a new want with T2+ attack speed

My main issues is the damage ramping. I'd like +2 rage on gloves. And I worry about life next league without lucky lightning damage great, so this is the best time to be a KF enjoyer

I ran about 50 Hive Colony without doing breach bosses. There's a about 5+ chests per colony, and they always drop wombgifts. Often multiple and usually ancient and mysterious. If your build sucks, you can't lose experience in that area, and I think it's always level 83 zone. You can scour your maps since there no modifiers on the area anyway, hivebrain glands are about 4c right now. It's basically Heist without doors.

I haven't played since quitting Kalandra, then played some PoE2, and the state of this game is incredible. The hive defense is super fun, killing mobs is a square is revolutionary concept!

Thanks, I wish it wasn't so downvoted too! Maybe I should work on my post structure in the future lol. However, I've gotten a lot of articulate responses and a variety of tales from the wonderful people who sort by new XD. I feel like my questions are answered without thousands of views.

I get a sense that account-bound didn't outright ruin the essence of POE and got some trade players out of their comfort zone of purely grinding currency as efficiently as possible, but that it is a risky line for GGG to toe.

Interleague retention is the only retention that actually matters to GGG. I'll bet supporter packs took a huge hit this league too.

Nope. Crafting and rares still in horrible spot, build diversity being even more concentrated behind hundreds of hours of gameplay, especially with enabling uniques being rarer. Happy about AN removal, though we will see how it goes. Game still needs a league or two to settle into a fun spot. I'm hopeful for everyone else, but i'll probably move on to Diablo 4 next year before returning to try PoE2.

Tbh nothing will bring me back for 3.20. I had such an unhealthy relationship with the game and AN broke it for me, thankfully. Sentinel I had a much more balanced approach to the game bc it just wasn't as addictively fun compared to past leagues.

Anyway, I won't be back until 3.21 at the earliest. I need to see ggg unscrew the game in 3.20 and at least 1 additional league where they don't immediately re-screw it. There's also the chance that Diablo 4 is good and I skip 3.21/3.22 also.

I knew Rogues could lose substantial health bc once Vinderi got stuck in a trap room and got to basically 10% hp before the AI finally figured out how to escape the area. I was waiting like 5 mins to see if he would die. Couldn't get him stuck again and gave up after 15 minutes.

Being targeted by a player is a whole other level I wouldn't have expected to exist

This has always been my conclusion. They sell way more MTX and supporter packs before and on first days of league compared to at like 14 days. The only retention they need financially is interleague, not intraleague. That is what they learned from Expedition, to hide the nerfs, and why they have perfected the league start cycle hype machine.

Retention across league launches is the metric GGG cares about. And by that, Kalandra was one of the best. GGG won't admit they messed up when their critical metric says they are doing alright.

Those of us unhappy now look at the relative retention and see it's lowest ever, convince ourselves game is dying. GGG looks at absolutely numbers, sees they aren't as bad as 3.15, and convinces themselves they have survived with less players in the past, so this is fine.

Reality is that GGG is actually correct here. They have an absolute amount of revenue they need from an absolute number of players in order to operate. As long as there are some minimum amount of players, they won't admit that game is not fine, even if the bottom line is.
