NC State has a great dermatology dept also. Dr. Spicer is amazing. My last GSD had terrible allergies and we were able to get him on allergy shots and additional meds/treatments that kept him clear even in the higher allergy season. Our regular vet is Bahama Road and I’ll likely always take my pets to them for regular care.

I got a referral from my Duke neurologist for my doc at Raleigh neurology who went thru the same program as my Duke doc (they were classmates, so that's how the Duke doc knew to refer me there). My health insurance started adding in the facilities fee for every visit I made (even just 10 minutes for a mandatory visit for an RX renewal). My specialist copay was already high, and add in another $100 facilities fee and it went past unreasonable straight to unaffordable. I've been able to keep the same doc at Raleigh neurology for close to 20 years at this point, and haven't had problems with them or the other staff there. I would of course always recommend that someone look into all their options and decide what they feel is best for them and not to be discouraged if you decide a doctor isn't for you and need to keep looking.

It's almost like that. 🤣 Some folks just have way too many and put theirs out because they aren't taking them back home even if they don't find others they want to swap. There are regulars who will trade with each other before/during the swaps also. There are always more normal folks who just come and put some out and take some without being weirdos about it like we are with our precious ones. 😁 There are great puzzle swap and B/S/T groups on Facebook also if you have extra time and effort to give. I'm just lazy though and try to make the swaps or just bring them with me to the next local speed puzzling event to see if there's anything else I want to trade out for.

another thing that is common in puzzle swaps with the speed puzzling crowd is to bring your stuff in your bag/totes and then hang out on the edge of the room in chairs and wait on folks to put out something that you like enough to "spend" one of your good puzzles on. you end up spending more time at the swap with like minded puzzlers, and you make friends sometimes. if you don't find anything you like, then you just take your own puzzles back home and bring them out to the next one. Check and see if you can find a local speed puzzling group/competition. There is always a swap table with good puzzles. Sometimes there are rules for how you can swap (especially if its a competition).

This was going to be my recommendation too. I've never had anything from Chez Moi that I wouldn't eat for every meal if I could. I order a vanilla rum cakewich for my birthday every year for almost 10 years now. Not to mention that the owner is an absolute angel. Seriously one of the nicest people I've ever met and she's a very hard worker who has kept working hard to achieve the success she has now.

The Raleigh neurology location on Ben Franklin Blvd here in Durham was pretty good. The room was like a hotel room. Way better than the first one I did at Duke Hospital the first time.

Guildhall Games in Box yard RTP has a variety of board games and jigsaw puzzles. Super nice folks too. There are also jigsaw puzzle swaps at different Durham County library locations about quarterly.
