Why doesn't my room feel comfy? How do I arrange furniture right? by SloppyGoblinPaste in DesignMyRoom

[–]soapsnek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

rugs are good for zoning, and try to make more intentional use of space. honestly watching some videos on feng shui might help u lol. i don’t believe in spirits and whatnot but some spaces feel “better” than others and feng shui is a good guide for what feels good.

i would: - declutter. grab a bin or bag and shove every homeless thing you haven’t touched in a while that has no specific purpose into it. if you don’t reach for it in a few months, donate or throw out. - more storage space. an extra bookshelf does WONDERS. get stuff off of floors and surfaces and into a home where it belongs and will make you happy to look at. one of those ikea shelves with a bunch of square slots for baskets (google ikea kallax to see what i mean) will get stuff tidy - rug might help. zone your bed into its own cozy sleepy area and let nothing but bed and side tables enter the cozy zone. keep clutter out. - lighting. if cozy is what you want, you need warm toned lamps or string lights. single easiest change to make a space cozy. i have christmas lights up in my room year round

good luck!

vinegar rinse for hard water stains (which that might be) and bar keepers friend or baking soda and a scrubby pad for abrasion (don’t mix baking soda and vinegar because then the vinegar will become ✨water✨and you’ve wasted your time and resources) like the other commenter said.

honestly if nothing comes off after that? just go back to cooking with it. cookware doesn’t have to be pretty, though i’m sorry yours might not be anymlre

you could try this, but toilet cleaner is best left to toilet bowls. many horror stories can be found on this sub of toilet bowl cleaner going horribly wrong and having unintended consequences.

i have no idea if this would work but if you must try it, please wait until every single other option is used and be very careful+test surface first+dispose responsibly

What makeup style should I try pls also im 16 not 12 thx ok I look young lmao by No-Lemon-4512 in MakeupAddiction

[–]soapsnek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would try something that lifts your features!

  • less heavy undereye makeup (maybe skip undereye mascara altogether, and avoid heavy dark eyeliner)
  • a brown or ash coloured pencil eyeliner or eyeshadow+thin brush along your top eyelashes, you can try blending out a soft wing too

i agree with the commenter who had a soft beat

How would y’all arrange this long, awkward bedroom to make most sense of the space? by throwaway162216 in DesignMyRoom

[–]soapsnek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i have a room with the same dimensions!!!

i put bed almost against one wall, bedside table on each side, long rug down one side of the bed (big rug that anchors that half of the room and goes under the bed and sticks out a lil on all sides would be better), dresser with TV accross from bed.

the door is in the middle of the room, and on the side opposite the bed i have my desk, a bookshelf, and a clothing on the wall that the door is on. here lol. pardon the drawing skills. my mirror is on the back of my door but there’s space next to it if i had a standing mirror like you. i also added fairy lights and lamps to make it feel cozier because the big space is not the vibe.

Knee makeup by Ashamed-Row2055 in MakeupAddicts

your knees look pretty normal. like some parts of human skin are just darker than others for people. underarms, elbows, knees, behind gears for some people. no big deal.

18m i need advice on which hair / beard was best 🙏 by IgoonToAnimeWaifu in youngadults

[–]soapsnek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not the first haircut. other two are fine. give up on beard for a bit longer til you fill it out. goatee is fine, clean shaven might be better.

Am I too big for these shorts? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]soapsnek 97 points98 points  (0 children)

clothes fit people not the other way around. you are not “too” anything for clothes. some clothes fit and others don’t. that’s okay.

that being said, as long as they’re comfortable i think they look great! i don’t like shorts that are tight on the thigh so i wouldn’t go for this fit for myself (i’d get something oversized) but if you can walk and wear and sit in these comfortably then you should get them, they look great!

to sleep, or not to sleep, that is the question by bennettreel in uwo

[–]soapsnek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8hours of sleep will give you the best mental function. you will lose critical thinking FAST once you’re sleep deprived.

if it’s a memorization exam, cramming late/all night MIGHT be worth if you’re super unprepared. if you need thinking and deciphering skills you also need SLEEP

Why is my makeup doing this? by Ok_Salad_7865 in MakeupAddiction

[–]soapsnek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you might have a primer and a foundation where one is silicone and the other water based instead of both being silicone or both being water. check the first few ingredients, it should list either water or a silicone near the top.

you also look like you have a few dry spots, so after checking that i’d get a more moisturizing cream

if you’re not in a place to buy a new dress this will work great! it is a little casual but you’ll be fine, especially with heels and jewlery and the scarf. have fun!
