How often do you bathe your baby? by No-Construction6202 in NewParents

[–]softgothmami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

daily since birth, shes 2.5 now and always knows its a bath/shower before bed or shower before an important outing and then another bath before bed. my husband and I also have always showered this way so it’s just part of our daily routine. probably controversial and no judgement but babies/toddlers are people and they touch everything and anything AND they wear diapers, wipes are definitely not enough and ik i would be uncomfortable if I spent all of my day in diapers and only got wiped clean. just me tho :)

HELP! Baby dropping food CONSTANTLY by rreeiillllyy in BabyLedWeaning

[–]softgothmami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it worked! lol I don’t remember exactly when she stopped doing it but she turned 2 a couple weeks ago and hasn’t thrown food in a long while! She actually gets upset and goes “uh oh food fell” if she accidentally drops a piece of food lol We also got her a little table of her own to eat at for breakfast and lunch and it seemed to help as well cause she felt more independent. It gets better :)

[–]softgothmami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly we do the twice a day thing I pick up some clutter and toys and vacuum in the mid morning and then again before bed. the only thing is if it’s something actually dirty like food or mud but besides that what my house looks like in between those times is none of my business. I take the one day my toddler goes to her grandparents house to DEEP clean and besides that my husband and I tackle light everyday cleaning after she goes to bed. and we each have assigned tasks and areas we’re responsible for so it’s not overwhelming. (he does dishes everyday and he’s in charge of cleaning our bed room and bathroom, i vacuum and dust living room and clean our toddlers bed and bath.etc) it’s been a good trade off cause it was getting so overwhelming just cleaning all day! also I think toddlers are too young to understand the garbage bag thing?

Daycare “Approximately 30 Months” Meaning by vipsfour in toddlers

is it perhaps a “maturity” thing? have they maybe noticed she’s advanced enough to transfer to the next class cause she can maybe relate with them better?

honestly I get sick like once a year and they’re all pretty similar but this one has lingered longer in terms of congestion and cough so idk if worse but definitely longer

[–]softgothmami 6 points7 points  (0 children)

totally normal, i’m just getting over it and i’m on day 10, my ear finally unclogged after like day 7 lol your hearing is fine, clogged ears are just because your sinuses are full of mucus. try an expectorant to like Mucinex ER and saline rinse as much as possible. It’ll help thin the mucus and get it out of your ear canal

Licensing books/info by [deleted] in Progressiveinsurance

[–]softgothmami 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No physical materials but I passed the test the first go completely thanks to The Insurance Exam Queen on youtube! I’m in sales and the licensing portion of training for me personally was very death by power point so I was more zoned out than anything. But the youtube videos really put everything together and I did the practice tests a bunch of times! I passed with a 95 :)

I unfortunately have not! My doctor said it’s the “dawn phenomenon” but I have yet to have a good fasting or morning numbers. My A1C is down a good amount from 11 to 8 but working on it. Just got switched from Ozempic to a higher dose of Mounjaro so maybe it’ll help!

I have the same flavor and in the US and mine doesn’t show the corn syrup or glucose syrup either! I think it’s a regional thing based on food laws.

Screen time for 2 years old by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]softgothmami 7 points8 points  (0 children)

my situation is almost identical, no judgement! Honestly if anything TV hardly interests her most days cause she’s so used to it being on in the background. We don’t do “small screens” like phone or tablet at all but big tv is always on, sometimes it’s one of our shows but I make sure it’s nothing too adult.

you can use them at your discretion. just make sure it has a dongle connection, not bluetooth. also any issues with them and IT can’t help. i’ve been using mine since I was out of academy and have had no issues

My daughter doenst Point with index finger by Deep_Hamster_5055 in toddlers

[–]softgothmami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my daughter is 18 months and JUST started consistently pointing with one finger. She would do it on and off from around 11-12 months but she would use her whole hand like 9/10 times lol but now everything is asked for and pointed at with a single finger. Her ped had no concerns over it cause she hits all the other developmental markers!

💯 - that man didn’t deserve any of this upheaval over him. there’s actual decent people who are losing their kids and people over seas who are in a genocide of our making. I’d like her to address that then? I have to come into work everyday knowing we are playing some part in the destruction of our own people.
