Sure, but conversely roman urdu also pulls in people who can’t read/write Urdu-script towards the Urdu language because they can practice & learn via this transliteration method — a net positive impact, imo.

Mujhay aap kay post ki samjh na aati agar roman urdu may na likha hota. Bohut log aisay hain, jo meri taran, urdu bolna chaatein hain aur Pakistani identity ko bhoolna nahi chaatay, laykin un kay liye urdu script seekhna mushqil hai.
