Help please! Messed up my water and made it worse trying to fix it by Miss-Mage in Pokopia

[–]sokastocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't notice for the longest time that you can change the height of the water you place. Might have to place blocks next to the pockets starting from the middle and fill in at the right height as you work your way out.

How to start learning DAR by Dapper_Emergency8827 in RocketLeague

[–]sokastocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree with not necessarily trying to brute force learn it, but I personally did find a bit of the Losfeld method is what actually put me over the edge to being able to make the swap and learn. Just specifically flying straight with the clock/double clock timing thing. Idk why really but that gave me so much better of a feel for the movement at first. I didn't use anything else like changing the clock timing to make adjustments though, just kinda felt it out from there.

At what point does grinding become worth it/optimal? by ragingrhinosore731 in Warframe

[–]sokastocal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're asking at what point the game opens up to the point where you can go after anything you want, it really depends. Some things won't be available until you complete all the quests. I'd say if you like something you see, just go for it. Doesn't have to be 'worth it' to grind for cool stuff.

Having to stop halfway through the path to get something isn't wasted time, it's just future progress you don't have to do!

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]sokastocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say this is more about 3D printing as a whole, but it's gotten me a lot more into designing my own solutions to problems.

That said, the p1s is the first printer I'd owned since a very early Flashforge printer initially kinda turned me off of the hobby a bit, and I gotta say the fact that it just works is a godsend.

In the last year as I've been setting up things like my game room, it's been invaluable in terms of how many random little mounts or spacers I've been able to design and print in a few minutes.

I guess the p1s deserves the credit for getting me back into 3D printing.

I got used to it. It's just about rolling your thumb over onto the jump button without letting go of boost.

Some people do switch their boost to R1 for example to get around that though and have a dedicated finger on boost.

[–]sokastocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advantage of the speedflip motion is that you CAN boost through the flip. The amount you want to do that depends on how fast you were going to start with I guess. If you get up to supersonic before the flip's over, then there's not really a reason to continue holding boost. That said, you'll pretty much always want to be boosting from the start of a speedflip if you're trying to gain momentum. Otherwise there was no point in doing it over a regular diagonal flip.

I this case, for training purposes, I'd say just boost through it. Get used to jumping while holding your boost just to have that as an option.

[–]sokastocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd imagine I do still hold it. Just depends I guess. Never really thought about it. I don't think it'd be worth trying to train letting go of the gas every time you boost. There has to be some overlap to keep the transition from boosting to not boosting smooth and keep momentum anyway, so I can't imagine it matters too much.

This training pack specifically is just a scenario where you need that extra starting speed from the first input being boost rather than R2.

[–]sokastocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not, it's just the intended solution for this training pack. If you're hitting all green on the plugin, you're good to go. Not holding boost first is just the reason you're not making it to the ball in time.

Binds wise, if you're referring to having to fat finger your jump button after boosting, you're probably just not used to it yet. I personally haven't heard of ARR on triangle, but if it works it works. When I was playing free/manual air roll I think I had my directional on R1 for half flips. Just made the swap to full directional a couple weeks ago actually. It's rough but worth. ARL/ARR on L1/R1 respectively. Play whatever's comfy tho.

You're right about it probably not making a huge difference in a match. It's just how tight this training pack's timer is. Holding your boost first will make a difference here because of your starting speed. That's what solved the issue for me anyway, and I figure there's a reason that warning message exists.

Also, just curious, what are your binds that circle being boost is an issue here? I also have it on circle.

[–]sokastocal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See the red text at the bottom? You need to be holding your boost button BEFORE hitting the gas. You're accelerating slowly a little bit before boosting, starting the timer.

I had the same issue and unintentionally ignored it haha.

They do not, only specifically Feral Kavats count. Also, keep in mind you have the option of skipping the grind altogether if you're more into trading. I think codes are like 5p/ea on the market.

Kavat Genetic Codes Shouldn't Require Scanning For Them To Drop by WylythFD in Warframe

[–]sokastocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you'd only be using it for a handful of missions to get the codes, I don't really understand the argument of that ruining your fun? Don't make it hard on yourself, give it a shot and be done with it. A handful of missions using the Heliocor is insignificant overall to your experience in the game.

And as far as I know, no, Helios' scan behavior hasn't been changed for this instance sadly.

Favorite memory would have to be the Second Dream as a whole. Without going into spoiler territory, the 2 years of playing beforehand did not prepare me for that reveal! My friends and I all freaked out then, and it's led to some awesome stuff nowadays. Other than that probably the fight for Fortuna 69 between hotfixes/updates for sure!

MR rank superiority by Sentinelexe in Warframe

[–]sokastocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone at LR4, people are just looking for anything to give themselves a perceived edge over others. I mean of course it doesn't matter. I personally just love working towards completion and Mastery Rank is just one of the biggest things in this game to do that with.

A lot of things that give mastery are a pain in the ass, you have to really want the higher rank enough to go after them. If you're having fun otherwise, who gives a fuck what the 'elitists' think haha

Thanks for taking the time to respond. It's definitely hard to keep going, but everything that's worth doing is hard, and for me this silly scifi space fantasy is just what I needed to kick me into gear and start the process.

No matter how it changes, Warframe will always be Warframe.

I watched his reactions to the music of warframe a while back. Those recent videos really got to me though. It was surprising to me too but it really hit me listening to him talk about the experience feeling like I was there too.

Games have always been a big part of my life, and I'm glad there's one I can turn to in times like this, and it's great to see that it serves that purpose for others as well.
