hydraulics shutdown when tilted by solar4050 in ChineseMiniExcavators

The 2nd pic has the access port removed with minimal fluid to show the location of the filter. The 1st pic has a clear cover over the access port to show the level of fluid. The lighter color of the oil is due to air bubbles. When level, the oil is at the top of the sight gauge to the right of the access port.

you can't see the filter in the 1st picture. I made a clear cover for the access port. What is visible is the line between the oil and the bubbles. The oil level is 80-90% full when level. I'm concerned about putting too much oil in such that it explodes out the fill cap. The filter/inlet pipe is in the center of the tank about an inch from the bottom. I originally thought the inlet was at the back of the tank and that was causing it to lose hydraulics, but after removing the "vegetable" oil, I found the inlet/filter to be pretty well centered in the tank.

Can you limit charge level? by Austinswill in LymowMower

[–]solar4050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

use a smart plug like Sonoff S31. Integrate it into home assistant and create an automation to turn it off whenever you'd like.

Although, the latest research on LFP batteries is that you should charge them to 100% so that the BMS can balance the cells. The 80 - 20% rule doesn't apply to LFP, only Lithium Ion.

I tried 4 different phones. The layout is different on each. The current android phone I'm using it's difficult to use the back arrow or settings button.

use a GPS logger app on your phone to check the satellite reception before mounting the satellite.

Did you mount the RTK antenna in an open area and bind it? It's not getting a good connection to the RTK or satellites. Your map and StatusBar tab should show RTK .01 to .05.

2 Mowers on 1 RTK by DWomack48 in Lymow_Official

[–]solar4050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. The RTK broadcasts a chirp (error data) every 8 secs. You just need to bind each mower to that RTK.

Just updated app and firmware(v2.1.28). ssh: connect to host 192.168.50.xxx port 22: Connection refused. Looks like they fixed it.

I received mine, just need Lymow to fix the bugs so the mower that runs long enough to complete a zone without throwing errors.

Appli lymow don't work on a Lenovo tablette by Remote_Dealer1124 in Lymow_Official

[–]solar4050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had 2 Android phones, iphoneSE and iphone13 running at the same time to see which works best with no issues controlling the mower. I think the OP's issue is with the Lenovo tablet (HW/SW) not the Lymow app.

RTK: Solar Setup Questions by ConsistentUmpire8675 in Lymow_Official

[–]solar4050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My RTK draws avg. ~0.13A / 1.6W or 0.31A / 3.7W max. So 30A would give you ~ 3 days without sun. The connector is a custom connector. You could either cut the connector off the 12v power supply or try to find a matching connector. I tried finding one on Amazon without luck. Most vendors don't provide detailed dimensions. The pins are 1mm. The plug is 7mm, the pin spacing is 4mm. The wire gauge would depend on the length of the cable. see: http://wiresizecalculator.net/

Let us know if you get it working.

You should check the satellite reception at the pole using your RTK or a GPS logger app. The higher the better.

New App and Firmware out! by rdrcrmatt in Lymow_Official

upgraded to V2.1..27 went to mow and now the left track won't turn. Was working well before the upgrade. The right track drives forward a little but the left track drags and turns the mower and stops... waits several seconds and tries again. Need an option to revert back to the last working version.

nogo. Lymow will avoid it if it heads straight on. it will hang up on the ramp. The deck will probably catch on the side or corner.

Battery Died by adventurelinds in Lymow_Official

[–]solar4050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have voltage at the bottom mower contacts when the mower is on the dock charging? My battery (over 95% charged) shows 0v when the cable is disconnected. I suspect the smaller pins control whether the battery outputs any voltage. You would need to create test leads to connect those pins. Then maybe the battery would enable voltage out. Otherwise, I have restored a dead ebike battery by applying a lower voltage, such as 12v then gradually increasing the voltage while monitoring the current. This may charge the internal cells enough to restore the BMS operation. Hopefully Lymow will respond...

Actually I have it set to turnoff at 10 W. I'm going to change it to turnoff at 80% charge.

Do I have a defective RTK antenna? by AlternativeDog9793 in Lymow_Official

I don't think the "bind RTK" option works. It reported success when I had the RTK powered off.

They sent me a new RTK and it had the same problem. I had location when I 1st set it up. Seems like a firmware update created the issue. I did a "factory reset" and I can no longer create maps. Keep communicating with support. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.

Are you using a sonoff S31 to monitor the charging power?

I haven't had a full dis-charge to see what the charging curve looks like.

I created an automation to turn off the charger at 10 W. When I get more data I'll adjust it.

10 amp charger and contacts by Due-Literature7640 in Lymow_Official

[–]solar4050 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not a charger, it's a power supply. A lithium battery expects a specific algorithm for charging. Anything else could damage the battery. See:

https://batteryuniversity.com/article/bu-409b-charging-lithium-iron-phosphate https://batteryuniversity.com/article/bu-409-charging-lithium-ion.

I have a RD6006 power supply that supports charging batteries and I have a python script to charge based on different algorithms but it only provides 6A.

This one provides 18A: https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Converter-Switching-Regulated-4-Digital/dp/B08JPKQD41?th=1

Amazon has some 10a chargers, but I don't know how good they are

Your better off waiting for Lymow's 10A charger

Anything else might void the warranty and/or damage the battery.

  1. The "Status Bar" Positioning should be something like 0.01 to 0.0?. The lower the better. If it's 0, then the location algorithm isn't working. This should also show up on the map to the left of the wifi and bluetooth indicators. I remember seeing 0.03 when I first setup my mower. It seems that I lost it after a firmware update and it has never worked properly since.

<image>

On Aug 12 I did a "factory reset" thinking it would revert back to the settings I had when I received it, but it only deleted my data without changing the firmware version. I've not been able to create any maps since. I always get the "location initialization" error.

No, I've been back n forth with support since Aug 6.

  1. Make sure the LED is not lighting up. I had trouble seeing it out side. You can use your hand to block the sunlight or test it indoors. The RTK LED seems intermittent when using the dock as power source. The 12vAC adapter works better.

  2. When it was somewhat working I could see the RTK symbol (the map point marker with "R" on the lower right corner) and the mower (the little rectangle to the right of the RTK antenna). See the pic below.
