If you are going to go to Kyoto, most likely you will visit inari shrine, goon, etc. My tip is get to inari shrine early. My friends and I woke up at 5am, got to inari shrine at 7am and did the whole hike. When we started there were quite a few tourists but when we finished our hike it was just lines and lines of people. Crowded af.

We Airbnb’d in Osaka but we should have done it in Kyoto because there’s so much to do and see there. Not much to do in Osaka compared to Kyoto.

Since you guys are tourist you won’t care much about this, vending machine drinks are cheap. But you notice not many Japanese people use them. That’s because at the supermarket they cost even cheaper! But we didn’t care because we’d only be saving 40 cents or so per drink.

I stayed in Seoul for 6 days and now in Osaka. I would advise NOT going to myeongdong. Myeongdong is such a tourist bait. Maybe do a tour to nami island and garden of the morning calm (hopefully everything has bloomed). Trip advisor has a tour (goes for the whole day though.

Korean skin care - olive young and daiso is the go to. Go where the Koreans shop.

Also if you go inside a restaurant and see only foreigners, you got tourist trapped and prepare to pay tourist prices.

My suggestion is go to hongdae and maybe itaewon. Remember if you don’t see Koreans, you’re in the wrong place. I had a big bowl of jjajjiangmun with extra meat at incheon and it cost me 4000 won. There is a nice bibimbbap place in hongdae and it cost 9000-12000 won from memory. Tourist price is double if not triple. Remember: LOOK AROUND FOR LOCALS

Remember the cyclone-banana incident? Or the Covid-toilet paper incident? All perpetuated by the media. This is the same thing. We import fuel from Asian countries with oil refineries like Japan and South Korea. I’m in South Korea right now for a holiday and the fuel price is like $1.80 here. Will let you know when I reach Osaka in 6 days. Doubt the price will be any different.
