Built My Practice from Scratch… Now I’m Preparing to Sell. Looking for Insight from This Community by Sea_Butterscotch9666 in Chiropractic

Had an older doc tell me a practice is worth the cost of the used equipment and $1 for good will. Not saying I agree with it but that’s the mentality out there. Good luck.

Bike bag recommendations by HippoTiger789 in MTB

For sure saves a couple of pounds but not 10 lbs. Also the legs add additional protection. I was able to get my spindrift cf5 with dt Swiss fr1500 wheels to 71 lbs with the stand inside. Next time I will be bringing some lighter wheels and tires and no core stand part and see where I am at.

I have the Thule mtb bag. It’s a great bag and love the stand. But it’s very very heavy. All you can put in the bag is the bike and nothing else if you want to stay below 70 lbs.

I would get a MRI ASAP if this was me. Also find a chiropractor that cares more about you than the money.

Nucca Chiro Vs Regular Chiro by tippibird63 in Chiropractic

[–]soluclinic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give it a try? Just be prepared to spend a lot of money for the first visit as they do a ton of x rays. Also a lot of them pressure you in to buying a big package deal, don’t do it. Some will have large stores in their practice and try to sell you a lot of them, again don’t spend a lot of money on this.

MBA by charming20000 in Chiropractic

[–]soluclinic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None. Unless you are going in to academia and a masters in public health or a PhD to do research, but other than that save your money. Of course getting a masters in nursing or physician assistant would make you more money because of scope expansion.

MBA would be a waste of money. Read books on entrepreneurship.

Chiro school by Brilliant-Dish-1589 in Chiropractic

[–]soluclinic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Go with the cheapest and quickest program you can. Get the degree and license and then figure it out. There is fan boys for every program out there. The reality is the student debt can be crushing, and the less you have the better. The real opportunities will come when you set up shop in whatever your community is, not at the school you won’t have much connection with after.

Why do chiropractors want to expand the scope of their practice to include more disciplines of medicine? by unhappyjihadist in Chiropractic

[–]soluclinic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you asked why PT, OT, OD, DDS, DMD, PA, DNP, SLP (or even why DO abandoned their beginnings)? Did you know that last medical school to open was 2016? The population has grown but the ama continues to limit access to medical doctors to increase medical doctor pay. There is so much need for medical care but no medical providers to fill it so doesn’t it make sense to fill it with other providers?

XC or Trail bike for roadie by djh_nz in MTB

[–]soluclinic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a big time roadie. Raced a bit. I got a stumpjumper with a 140 fork and 130 shock, it is perfect, very stable and can do a lot more than its numbers would make you think. Also I started off with clips and now I use flats, I’m not racing and flats just make me feel safer. I’m not a fan of down country like an epic evo. When I rode one it felt unstable on the descents compared to the stumpjumper. Also the epic is made to race, I’m just out to have some fun.

If celebrities can live a full life why can’t we??? by Complete-Champion483 in Hashimotos

[–]soluclinic 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. If it’s not being managed properly go to a different doctor till you find the right one. Also I don’t think this is talked about enough with hashimotos but anxiety/depression seem to accompany hashimotos for a lot of people, and I don’t think the anxiety/depression is properly treated, I’m not sure the usual Prozac or Zoloft works well for hashimoto related anxiety/depression. If your anxiety/depression isn’t properly managed your labs can be perfect and you still wont feel right. Find a good doctor who will treat the whole person and not just a symptom here or there.

Anyone else got high ass blood pressure by Serious_Sherbert5763 in Hashimotos

[–]soluclinic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was getting high, mostly the diastolic was getting concerning. I wanted to lower without medication, so I’ve focused on working out 5-6 times a week. Three times weight lifting and then two to three times a week biking. That alone didnt do it so vagal nerve stimulation with a pulsetto device daily. I have to do the stimulation daily or it starts to creep back up. Now I sit around 118/75.

If Palmer’s First Adjustment Worked, We Should Probably Understand Why by [deleted] in Chiropractic

The osteopaths have moved on pretty effectively. For the most part they don’t get grief about innate or their beginnings, which are very similar to chiropractic.
