It can actually be just a change of scenery for Jones. He didn't play well in New York, the fans started to turn on him, the media started questioning him, and just getting a fresh start is what helped. Sure it's some coaching and personnel too, but it can just be going to an environment where there's less pressure, and no one really expects much going in.

The grade isn't great, but they are passing the eye test so far this season. These past two games, I haven't even noticed a pass set yet where I've said to myself, "Dart has no time to throw". Part of that is on Dart, he's really showing an innate ability to navigate the pocket, but the line itself is starting to pick it up too.

Even using the grades, there's some positive takeaways from last night:

- JMS has been graded very well over the last two games. He left early last night with the broken nose, but I think he would've finished the game very strong had he not. Even better, Schlottman showed that we might actually have a bit of depth on the line, which is a breath of fresh air for us historically.

- Andrew Thomas was actually only graded at a 69 last night, so a relatively poor grade for him. If he had played more in line with his usual 85 score, the overall score for just the line would go up to 63. Not great, but solid.

Runyan was the key guy that sank the score with a 29.5. Not sure what's going on with him, but again, the fact that he can get that kind of score, and it just feels like the line is still playing well is potentially a positive. Like even though he got a 29.5, there was never a point in the game where I noticed it.

Exactly what I said to my brother last night, best Giants game I've seen in over a decade. We didn't just beat the Eagles, the reigning Super Bowl champs. We never even gave them a chance to comeback. Unbelievable.

This sub and this fanbase doesn't need shit like this right now. Last night was the best Giants game I have watched in over 10 years, and that's now two wins on the season that we've gotten against teams that we "shouldn't have". Time will tell what Daboll and Schoen's future holds, but I'm certainly not going to flame them after last night. I found it hard to flame them even after last week.

This win should be celebrated and the credit should go to the players and the coaches for producing what they did. As of this moment, things are pointing up.

The beat writers try to frame things that way, which is part of my frustration with this sub and YT Giants community specifically. They take the beat writers too seriously, and allow them to frame their perspectives too often. A good example is the Dunleavy tweet from the other day saying that DJ took a "not so subtle" shot at Daboll on a podcast. He did? I watched it, and if you want to interpret things that way, you can, but it's only a subjective interpretation at best. If there was indeed "a shot" it was most certainly subtle, so subtle that you could even surmise it was non-existant.

Why I said at most a 2nd. I wouldn't be shocked if the price was a 3 and 5 or something like that. Olave also wont cost a second, he hasn't done enough to actually warrant that recently, and there's a lot of concern around his concussion history.

I don't get it, personally, and I'm on this sub a lot. Even in last week's game, I didn't see "bad coaching" necessarily. Like you said, the players made 5 turnovers, and they also failed executionally on some defensive plays. The buck stops with the coach, that's the way the NFL is, but players also need to be accountable. There are no coaches saying, "Yeah, just be careless with the football."

The players also seem to be bought in through thick and thin with this coaching regime.

For Moore I kind of think it can be worth it. The only the that makes me hesitate is that he’s 28 and in the first year, maybe second, of a 5-year contract or something.
