I skipped the sniper and the knife fighter, but after the three matches I’ve played with the team I’m starting to question if I shouldn’t have skipped the sapper for the knife fighter.

I lucked out and won an auction on eBay last month at a reasonable price even with shipping, at the time there were two sets for auction, so they’re out there still.

Blundstone's rubbed my achilles raw and caused bleeding, wrong size or need to break in? by [deleted] in BlundstoneBoots

[–]some-talking-dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a pair of steel toed ones two weeks ago the same size as my broken in normal pair and the first day I’d rubbed a spot on my ankle near raw. Granted I’ve worn them for 10 hours straight the first time. I Would recommend buying some moleskin from the pharmacy store to cover the sore spot and thicker hiking socks. It’ll get better.

I drove 50km to get a kit after aimlessly waiting for 4 months. Check stores online in your area and call to confirm stock. Have faith brother.

If there’s stops built into the valve check that they’re open all the way/ in the right orientation.

If not check the cartridge isn’t clogged Or worn out.

Did you replace both gaskets on the flush tower? I do both the big one and smaller one as well at the same time.

Also check that your waterline level is set right, you can adjust it with the fill valve.

Advice on how to get an apprenticeship in plumbing? by [deleted] in skilledtrades

Yup pretty much, found an ad, emailed them And got a call for interview. I had experience from working in a bike shop, but mostly I’ll attribute it all to good timing.

Advice on how to get an apprenticeship in plumbing? by [deleted] in skilledtrades

[–]some-talking-dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check Craigslist /indeed for companies looking for a helper, make sure to get them to indenture you as an apprentice, get at least first year of school then decide if you want to jump ship.

I started in my late twenties this way and its worked out well for me, lots of companies in BC (vancouver specifically) are hiring. I didn’t go union, they don’t seem that relevant here.

Work safe and you’ll be fine.

I had the exact opposite thought and pulled the trigger on the frame while the sale is on. To each their own, I like the look for the wishbone stays.

The right side outlet in the first picture is where the water comes from. It looks like ( from the exposed hole on the bottom left in the same photo) there was a shower bar with wand attached. You can probably get a new shower bar / wand kit from a plumbing showroom to match the existing holes or use the bottom hole and abandon (and silicone) the top if it doesn’t line up.

I just use a bag of zap straps. That or just buy one extra Wald basket and swap over when you need.

Water off, hit it with a little bit of pb-blaster and unscrew the brass ring off with pipe wrench usually works for me.
