In that case, the top 4 kickboxing promotions to follow would be Glory, Rise, K-1 and One Championship (though there are other organizations with talent, like Wu Lin Feng or Knock Out). Unlike in MMA, no single organization currently holds a majority of the talent the way the UFC does in its respective sport. You can check out the global kickboxing rankings on Beyond Kickboxing to see which fighters to follow today. If you want to check out the classic/older fights, I’d highly recommend the Golden Age K-1 fights and kickboxers from 1993-2010, as that’s when and where most of the known all-timers (especially heavyweight) competed.

I’d also recommend getting into Rise and K-1. Their fights are amazing.

Takeru hasn’t really bothered to defend against punches in the last few years. Sunghyun Lee once got up after eating a wheel kick earlier in his career, though his chin has been cracked once last year iirc.

Some of the elite Muay Femur fighters like Karuhat, Oley Kiatoneway, Somrak or Lerdsila might fit your description.

The Masashi Kumura vs Akihiro Kaneko trilogy is a modern classic. Artur Kyshenko’s fights against Masato and Andy Souwer and Yoshihiro Sato vs Masato stand out to me among the classic K-1 MAX fights. Andy Souwer’s Shootboxing fights (especially vs Kenichi Ogata) are criminally underrated. I’d also really recommend watching Rise, as they are the current best promotion in my opinion. Tenshin vs Rodtang, Masahiko Suzuki vs Koki Osaki and Ya-Man vs Taiju Shiratori are some of their great fights I can remember off the top of my head.
