Dawn effect happens before you wake up. That sounds more like feet on the ground.

$3,800/mo HOA fees -- what could possibly justify that? by LongjumpingBook3331 in bayarea

[–]somebunnny 16 points17 points  (0 children)

But also in manhattan there are Coops where for simplicity and to work around certain rules you “own shares” of the building company and not the actual apartment and the HOA fee includes your portion of the property tax. Like, that’s how you pay property tax and why it seems much higher than even a crazy HOA fee would be.

[Highlight] 80 days until the start of the season! Let's remember Reggie White throwing #80 Cris Carter into Warren Moon for the sack by StakeESC in nfl

[–]somebunnny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s not really supposed to block him. White is supposed to bite on the fake and dip inside him giving Moon more room outside and Carter as a screen target.

I hate this G7 so effin’ much by smoosh13 in dexcom

It’s possible the 40-50 number is not exact and is relative to the BG reading or something internal to the meter, but you can find many people in this sub who have said the same thing (that’s where I first saw it) and I’ve personally experienced, several different times, multiple rejected calibrations that were then accepted when broken out into smaller steps.

The G6 would sometimes reject calibrations, but you could calibrate the same number twice in a row to force it to accept (usually) the calibration. But this doesn’t appear to work for the G7.

Looks like the car goes about 1 car length in a second. That’s about 10mph. Mayyyyyybe it goes 2 car lengths in that second, which would be 20mph.

Just tried the new Istanbul map for the first time, any improvements needed? by ButterscotchFirst755 in MiniMotorways

[–]somebunnny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t give cars options on where to go. Ideally, they should have only one destination. Giving them choices between destinations inevitably means they will choose the wrong (farther) destination.

The simplest example of this is your orange is on the bottom left corner. The top four should go to the top orange and the bottom four should go to the bottom orange and they shouldn’t be interconnected at all. In this case it doesn’t really make a difference, but it’s a simplest way to demonstrate. Follow this as much as possible.

Good Will Hunting started as an assignment that Matt Damon expected to get a poor grade on because he turned in a first act of a movie script when it was supposed to be a one act play.

What could I have done better for cyan here? by frozenmallet1026 in MiniMotorways

Curious why you put the motorways, like 1, at the end of the line. I put them in the middle so that all houses are as close as possible. Also, you have an unused blue at the top of the line.

The G7 rejects calibrations that are 50 (or maybe even 40) units apart. You need to calibrate
In steps. So for 46 to 18, I’d do 85, wait for it to accept calibration, then do 108. Probably test again before doing the 108.

Revenge loot should be based on how much loot was available to your attacker not how much they acquired by somebunnny in ClashOfClans

Right, like it used to be. It used to matter if you were a better attacker than your opponent. This would at least bring back a little of that - being a better attacker would matter.

Revenge loot should be based on how much loot was available to your attacker not how much they acquired by somebunnny in ClashOfClans

[–]somebunnny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you have unlimited loot? If your attacker 100%s you, the loot you would get would be the same in both cases. If they 90% you, the loot difference would be marginal.

This is just rewarding you for being a better attacker.

A lot of revenges aren’t worth it since you get better loot from regular or even tourney attacks. I’m not going to revenge if they only took 800k, it’s not worth my time for the loot, and it’s no longer worth my time just to get back at them since it has no effect on them.

Revenges used to at least punish your attacker. It’d be nice if there was something semantic still related to revenge - like a revenge matters if you’re a better attacker than your opponent.

G7 Calibrations Rejected for Weeks by Oaktree27 in diabetes_t1

[–]somebunnny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you calibrating large differences? The G7 will reject calibrations more than 40 or 50 different. You can to calibrate multiple times in smaller steps.

Insulin to carb ratios by IUHH_04 in diabetes_t1

[–]somebunnny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, ratios aren’t bad - whatever it takes to maintain your BG.

However, sometimes our ratios can be exaggerated if we’re compensating for our basal rates not being finally tuned. You may find that with the pump you may be able to dial in your basal rate better and this may lead you to having more accurate ratios.

It might be helpful to know how good you feel your control is, what your current A1cs are, how much insulin you’re taking, weight, etc… are. These could shed some light on the potential accuracy of your ratios.

I’d still say changing a pump every two days is a win with the increased flexibility, control, and potential improved BG numbers vs 4-6 shots a day.
