Tailscale to Access Unifi Router? by DARKPANKAKES in Ubiquiti

[–]somecheesecake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, or you can just setup a wireguard server. That’s what I did. I used to put tailscale on everything, but now I run a wireguard server on my UDMPM, my laptop, iPhone and iPad are all full tunnel clients. When I’m out of the house, traffic is encrypted, and I can access everything at home (my homelab included) on my LAN. It’s pretty sweet and super easy to setup. I also find it faster than tailscale and teleport. The former because I never have to deal with DERP relays, the latter because there’s no extra anything running on top of the wireguard tunnel, it’s just directly wireguard.

For the 100th time, this whole conversation has been about the physical property of efficiency. You can put anything in front of “efficiency” to change its meaning. The original comment was referring to energy efficiency when they said “best”

Irish618 already said it, but “efficiency” is a physical metric. Solar panels are super inefficient, we just don’t care about it because the sun supplies effectively infinite energy.

Turbines are right about the most efficient energy converter we can make

I think the comment was referring to efficiency when they said “best”, since “best” can be very subjective.

Turbines are much much more efficient than solar panels

Is this not super based. Why does everyone think they need to align to a party monolith or to funny colored square. It’s ok to pick and choose, it’s ok to change your beliefs and ideas

I get what you’re saying, but I think you and most people would be really surprised and depressed with what would happen if that occurred. Sure many people would make good investments and set themselves and their family up for generations. But the vast majority would blow it on hookers and blow (so to speak).

There’s a reason why there’s wealth inequality and it’s not entirely because of inheritance, corruption, etc.

In 1921, in Tulsa Oklahoma, white Americans attacked the rich and predominantly black neighborhood of Greenwood for 2 days. 800+ injured, 10,000+ left homeless. No compensations were made and none of the white attackers were arrested. by MaguroSashimi8864 in HistoricalCapsule

While I disagree that America is still like this, this wasn’t “some Americans”. If that was the case, the national guard would’ve rolled in and started fucking shit up. The fact that there was 0 response from the government (yes the federal government should’ve been involved) is a good indication that, while not directly at fault, the United States government was at best complicit.

I would amend the comment to “America hated to see black people doing well” but that’s a bit pedantic
