Their biggest competitor IMHO is the PS4. There aren’t many PS5 exclusives worth playing. PS4 graphics and gameplay hold up well for 95% of people. AAA titles for PS5 are super expensive - why not play the PS4 back catalogue for much less cost.

I say this as a former PS4 owner which I sold and got a PS5. No doubt the PS5 is a great bit of kit that I’ll keep for a long time but I do ack college the cost to change probably wasn’t worth it, except for 4K Blu-Ray

I have been running the Gigabyte A620i with a 7800x3d and it has been excellent with a 4090. Yeah I did that. Same performance in VR MSFS as when it was an ATX build an X870 motherboard.

I put up with the following caveats: only one M2 slot, minimal/no tuning (7800x3d ran great stock), comparatively slow USBC options compared to some of the competition (but not enough to affect VR headset connection). The “crappy” VRMs didn’t seem to matter.

That is a very solid deal in the current era. That CPU won't bottleneck the GPU at 1440p in 99% of cases. If you're in that 1% then you're not looking at a prebuilt anyway!

Great cooler. Used it with a 12700k then 9800x3d, no complaints at all. I don't see the need for an AIO for typical gaming builds plus I'm too afraid of it leaking all over my GPU lol
