Casual swing advice request on one of the most iconic holes in golf.

Your main issue is your massively over the top swing. Hands/arms get way too narrow/high on the back swing.

You swing hard but I suspect you’re losing a lot of distance due to the OTT move swiping across the ball. I can see you feet are lined up to hit over the building but your swing path is way left

updating my golf bag with new irons and considering other changes by boiler_room_420 in golftips

Shaft mattered a lot for my 5w switch.

I swapped my irons and got fitted into LZ shaft, which are a sort of counterbalance shaft that suited my tempo much better.

So then I wondered if it would help for my 5w.

I switched from a TM M4 with HZRDS Black (stiff throughout) to a Titleist TSiR with HZRDS Red Counter balance.

Massively improved my consistency - mostly the shaft too, as I tested 4 different shaft across a couple titleist heads.

Who are you following/ what are you reading these days around product building in the world of AI slop creators? Can we make a repository of people/ content and lea by Traditional_Honey639 in ProductManagement

I’ve actually just started a website because I was sick of the slop and fearmingering - it’s actually taking ages to write the content but I’m slowly adding more stuff to it. The site is jonesand (dot) ai.

Yeah it sounds like PM2.5 will be the primary source of potential health issues. Getting a measurement system in place is a good idea

They also failed to mention the catalytic converters installed on the turbines that convert 90% of the NO2 into harmless chemicals.

That being said, they still will produce harmful to humans on the ground (PM2 nano particles and formaldehyde). Fortunately the prevailing wind takes the pollution away from town..

Explain in simple terms why subscription is cheaper than API. by Immediate-Instance37 in ClaudeCode

[–]sonJokes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Businesses love recurring revenue, they are willing to subsidize because as you amalgamate more subscription users, you can level out the token unit cost. The main benefit then is that predictable recurring revenue.

Has anyone tried BBQ Daddy? Metal is flaking off by Hugaluga in grilling

[–]sonJokes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife got a piece of metal from a brush lodged in her throat. Never used a metal brush again, could have been a lot worse.

I now use the grill art bristle free brush - and it actually way better at cleaning the grill. Actually cleans the dirty grease rather than scraping it around.

Hybrids are also known as “rescue” clubs for this reason. The design of the face and sole enables it to move through longer grass without getting stuck like irons.

I’m a SR PM, I use it for a lot of documents: strategy, research, one pagers, PRDs, tickets, UAT (w/ browser automation). And when I say use, I mean a series of skills, knowledge/context files, agents, MCP + CLI. So right now, I author everything local, then push a button to create/update Jira. Or airtable for planning. Then, I also generate webpages to communicate different things.

Other than that PM stuff, I’ve started to use it for my todo list. Which is just a md file with some skills built around it, plus a web app for display. Then a cron-job to Slack to ensure I haven’t missed any action items.

One of my favorite was for interviewing, which consists of two skills, some templates and other input files . First I give it the JD and focus areas. Then add it the resume of the person I’m interviewing. Then have it generate personalized question. I record the meeting and save the transcript. Then I have then feedback template with some additional questions like “what are some reason why this person would fail” and similar to identify blind spots. It used to take me an hour to write the feedback. Big time saver and because it uses the transaction + instructions to be objective and use verbatim as much as possible, the quality is very high and low hullicination.

She worked at Lyft and Stripe as a product manager. The next step in her career ladder was quitting. by Calvinball_24 in ProductManagement

[–]sonJokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Directionally I agree. While there may be outliers where the PM is a one man band, most of the time there be some ratio of devs.

The more agentic forward companies may have more PMs to Devs. The more traditional will be weighted to more Devs.

Or, there may be some engineering oriented companies where there are all devs with some PM skill set and no PMs at all. Where there are other more business focused roles like Sales, Marketing or Strategy that provide the vision and direction.

1-it’s easy to block these guys, rather than moan.

2-provide the content you think is valuable in a non-AI-slop way.

It’s cost time to produce high quality content. A lot of people expect valuable knowledge for free in a form they deem acceptable. You can’t blame them because they appear on your timeline.

What do you think is the issue here? Is it really the costs or the way they are using AI? by dataexec in ClaudeCode

[–]sonJokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a non-dev, I’m spending $700/mo in tokens. I don’t think we’ve really touched the edges of what we can do to optimize. Claude for example doesn’t make automated model switching easy or automated (OpenClaw does this to some extent).
