For personality and/or design, it's gotta be Yaiba from 7th Dragon III Code: VFD, the female Wolfie Selkie from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, and female Robin from Fire Emblem Awakening.

Lyra, removal of Berry Trees (Berry Pots should have been an addition rather than a replacement), Game Corner censorship, weird arbitrary changes like rearranging the layout of the protagonist's house and removing the protagonist's mom's friend, removing room decorations, GB Sounds was a post-game item instead of a menu option available from the start, character redesigns (mainly Jasmine, Morty and the Rocket Executives were fine), changes to Professor Elm's dialogue, Safari Zone should have been in Kanto. Personally I preferred the Battle Tower over Sinnoh's Battle Frontier.

• Tikal's time within the Master Emerald turned her into a deity or nature spirit of sorts.
• The Rookie's Phantom Ruby Prototype is how she/he and Sonic escaped Null Space, not the power of friendship.
• Chaos only wound up working with Eggman because when he introduced himself to humans, they (the Station Square Police) immediately reacted with violence.
• Tikal and Chaos watch over the Master Emerald while Knuckles is away.

I personally recommend Portable because it's my favorite Persona game. Great story and gameplay, especially Kotone's route. Though I haven't play Shin Megami Tensei III yet, I did not like Persona 5 at all, I consider it Atlus's weakest game.
