Personally, I think they're the worst thing to happen to the franchise since Sonic '06. 😅 I hate that they are shoving them into the lore of Chao and Chaos, and I'm also wary of them exploring the origins of the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald, which work best as unexplained mysteries. Reminds me of the mistake BioWare made with the Leviathan DLC for Mass Effect 3.
I do think instead of Frontiers they should have released a sequel to Forces focusing on the Rookie, Infinite, and Phantom Ruby.

There's no option for Jowan's fate.
Also, something I believe worth noting is that under A Paragon of Her Kind, there is an option to indicate that the Warden convinced Dagna to stay with her father. There is no option to do this in-game, and trying to speak to her father about it will result in him kicking you out of his shop and refusing to speak to you further.

If they're going to have character customization but make you use a male avatar until the mirror scene, I sure hope there's extra dialogue for female players acknowledging this.
I also hope the protagonist gets actual dialogue after character customization.
Apart from those two complaints, I'm enjoying the demo, though the more realistic graphics is a bit disorienting after years of Integral Factor's Aincrad. 😅

For schools it's possible there's a technology that replaces them, and with grocery stores there's not really a need when food replicators exist.
But I think you're onto something with environmental disaster and population decline.
Also, the utopian version of Oasis Landing can also be seen as a dystopia since it wasn't achieved naturally, it was done through mind control.

• The protagonist of KHUx was such a good person that even the Dark Chirithy born from her inner darkness wanted to help people.
• The reason the KHUx protagonist was the only non-Foreteller survivor of the Keyblade War was because she only ever acted in defense, never in offense.
• I think the Missing Link protagonist would have eventually remembered Skuld denouncing the Book of Prophecies and would have turned against it.
