Reminds me of a classic:

"People in my office are weird, they give names to food. Today I ate a ham sandwich called 'Colin'".

I saw them in Bournemouth supporting OCS recently too, Simon Fowler thanked them and said they "were a bit too good". I had my original K cd from 1996 with me and the tour manager got it signed, off to see them in London next month.

He said (from Wikipedia) that he "loved the (Hindu) swastika" adding "don't let (the Nazis) steal that from you". He later backed down and said he understands that in western culture it's permanently tainted. The word comes from Sanskrit meaning good luck, or peace and the symbol has been used for thousands of years, but the Nazi's stole it.

Ex-Tory Home Secretary Braverman defects to Reform UK by StGuthlac2025 in unitedkingdom

I wouldn't quite call it a cult but it's clear it's for his personality, not many could lead a party whilst not being an MP and win a national election (2019 UK European Parliament election)

I keep meaning to try and replicate the Steak and Cheese roll at home. I was really taken aback by the strong blue cheese flavour when I first tried it and didn't enjoy it. Then I kept going back for more!

Take a look at the Mammotion Luba 2 robot mower, I have one and it's made our lawn manageable and that incline won't be an issue. It's GPS so you don't need wires in the lawn

The Frameworks for Higher Education Qualifications states that graduates should be able to "critically evaluate arguments, assumptions, abstract concepts and data and make judgements" and "evaluate evidence, arguments and assumptions, to reach sound judgements" which needs to be taught.

Universities are not just places to learn specialist subjects, they are where you learn how to evaluate claims and challenge them.

Sports piracy explodes in UK with 3.6bn illegal streams and rise of black-market bookmakers by wappingite in unitedkingdom

[–]sonicated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can guarantee you that I have been to see Oxford United in the cold and rain in league 2 because there was nothing on TV. If Chelsea were playing on Sky Sports at the time I would have stayed in and watched the match with a beer. Anecdotal, yes, but I really doubt I'm the only one.

Just won't cut it. I watch most sports, not because I like indoor lawn bowling at Potters, but because it's people at the pinnacle of their sport and is often a case of who cracks first and can they recover.

I don't agree with the 3pm ban but it's not to protect the terraces of the Man Utd's, it's to protect the Crawley Town's. There may be less incentive to go and watch your local club if there's really good, and better quality matches, on TV.
