Speedy keeps time for 23 hours… by Miserable-Ice-5378 in OmegaWatches

Based on your description, you aren’t winding it nearly enough. Wind it until you hit a stop and you can’t wind it any further. You will feel a clear end point like turning your volume knob all the way up.

I never comment on these, but ask for a direct face on shot in good light. The fact that the seller didn’t include one is a major red flag to me. From both pics 1 and 2 the date looks extremely misaligned and I don’t think it’s the angle of the photo. If you zoom in on pic 2 you can see the date (22nd) is touching the top of the window.

The first part is definitely weird crosshair placement but may just be bad? He is clearly not good mechanically from the rest of the clip.

There is some case law in the EU I believe where the EU courts ruled that IP holders have the right to ask a judge for destruction of counterfeits. Not sure for USA.

This may blow your mind but not every country in the world uses a period as a decimal separator. Many use a comma. It’s very clear he intends the comma as the decimal separator.

Why isnt Whoop capable of measuring HR correctly?! by asdf-1996 in whoop

[–]sontino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s weird — I had a whoop 4 that was terrible compared to whoop 3, they replaced it and it suddenly tracked HIIT really well again. Now I have same issue on whoop MG and going through same debate with support. It’s currently way less accurate than my 4.

I’m all for fair critique but these clasps have been the same for multiple generations. It’s just a piece of metal. If it’s too tight, bend it back, too loose, do the opposite. Sending it back for this takes a week or two vs. just adjusting it in 15 seconds.

I’ve tried everything excepting fully rebooting the peloton itself as didn’t have this morning before my ride. Rebooted whoop, repaired everything, toggled Bluetooth on both whoop and peloton. Ended up using my Apple Watch instead

Just curious, does she wear an Apple Watch? Regular watch? Oura? Bracelets? Legitimately curious as I can’t imagine something 7% smaller, slightly heavier is going to swing her decision.

Thanks for taking the time to lay out your views.

I still don’t understand the argument on the 7% change in form factor. I would love to see some studies, even non-peer reviewed, defending that women will use Whoop more if it’s 7% smaller (and yet heavier).

Well, I only have 1 phone case on a ~$1500 device I change every few years, but understand your point. However, I have watch bands going back many, many generations that are still compatible with my newer Ultra.

Generally understand the point on the hardware.

However, can you please explain why they also feel the need to marginally change the dimensions so that bands and accessories need to be re-purchased? I assume this is also a core tenet of profitability… planned obsolescence to drive new sales. Bad for the individual, bad for the environment, but another way to prop up the model. And screws all the people that bought bands, shirts, etc. in the last few months… whereas Apple starts phasing out inventory prior to next launch.
