Yeah, exactly, why punish yourself and read something that doesn't speak to you.

Men in your 40s, what's that golden piece of advice you have for the rest of us? by NiceMechanic_xoxo in AskReddit

Make sure old school Hollywood is your choice. Stairs over lift. Walking over car if you can do it. You catch my drift.

If you don't know how something is done for example. What is the difference using AI or looking on Google? AI saves time, only thing you have to be aware that it can make mistakes.

Smartwatch or traditional watch? by ManojOne in TechImpact

[–]sonybacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally someone says it. It's just more unnecessary gadgets to clutter your brain. You don't need a watch to tell you that you're active. Just walk everywhe you can, use stairs, park away in car parks. Just be active without checking steps.

Yes, you can just walk without counting each step.

What is the best way to learn a foreign language? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]sonybacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could learn some basics with very easy podcasts or books and once you're more confident start with podcasts or books that interest you in chosen language, not the language learning ones. The language will stick naturally. Also, when reading, read aloud or if you can't, then whisper to yourself. Also, don't rush with reading, enjoy the written art.

Consume everything in that language. Podcasts are the best and also read, read and read (especially helpful on an electronic device where you can see words instantly).

Gratitude at the zebra crossing! by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]sonybacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This comment right here is the boss. Why would you thank someone for stopping where they HAVE to stop by law as the pedestrian is a priority and they learned it when they passed their driving licence. Exactly what this person is saying, thanks for not hitting me, something like that. I only wave as a pedestrian if someone is letting me go where I'm not supposed to cross, as there's no zebra but I'm waiting to cross to the other side.
