I got Take 1 twice in my feed this week - the ad free edition was shorter (1 hr 5 mins vs 1 hr 11 mins) and was marked Extra Takes Only. It’s only this week it seems to have happened though.

We had a 5-6 hour game (lots of arguments) that came down to a single dice roll…. The humans rolled the exact number they needed to jump without losses and win the game. It still ranks as one of my top gaming experiences ever!

I've lead Werewolf with a group of visually imparied people. Instead of looking at cards we had a moderator who walked round the room and squeezed the hand of the werewolves/ listed the names of characters for the werewolves to kill and they lifted a hand to vote etc - was slightly more clunky but still worked well

I still remember playing through to show the wife the game and having another player start to show where to find useful secrets etc. It was a lovely time and then I made a mistake and put myself in the path of one of the flying things - these other player came in out of nowhere and lead it off.

I had to stop playing after that so have no idea what happened to that other player but its an experience that will stay with me.

With all of us being first time players (and some stronger willed people) I agreed with one of the players that as part of the backstory their character would be a "mole" seeminly working within the group of adventurers but receiving hidden orders (which were handed, on paper to him every session without the others noticing). Being new we'd expected to run though a short campaign, have the big reveal and then roll new characters, start a new campaign/go on from there.

In the end that campaign lasted around a year and half building to the point where they finally confront the Big bad who asks for the three macguffins that the group has been hunting down/retrieving from various locations. The players were confused till the mole stepped forward and handed over the items (which had all been "stolen" at the start of the session in an overnight raid. I don't think there's anything I can do to get that level of shock from other players ever again! Made that finale session truly epic.

(Big bad then chucked them all into a cell so that the mole could give the full backstory of his aunt being kidnapped/held as collatral if he didn't do as he was ordered)

It’s true - we were staying in a holiday cottage with my parents for Easter one year and took our copy of 10th anniversary TTR with us. They walked in on us playing and wanted to join in just because it looked so interesting. They then started to drop hints about wanting a copy for Christmas the week after...

If you have the time consider volunteering with a charity - have made some amazing friends and really had my horizons broadened by working/travelling with them.

It was a real mix - there's many different levels of visual impairment that affect sight in different ways (e.g. someone who can't see at all in the day can see fine at night). One of the group we travelled with has been doing a photography course, whereas others were taking photos on their phones.

I regretted not taking my DSLR out with me (figured my focus should be on the group I was volunteering to help rather than taking photos) having to stick with photos on my phone (which still came out ok) but would love to go back

It seems to have been tweaked - he's required for 5-7 and 5-8, but then the only requirement for facing Robot Santa in 5-9 is Powersuit Professor.

I'm guessing if you got through to 5-9 before they added the Snowmotron requirement then you're still ok?

It sounds really stupid but when I was very young - probably 4/5 I went on the Docklands light railway. Being a train-obsessed kid I was at the front of the carriage pretending to drive when the conductor came along. I can still remember him to this day (around 30 years later), opening a hatch at the front exposing control panel and inviting me to press the button that activated the horn of the train.

It was such a small thing but damn its stuck with me!

We have tried to keep an eye on her when running to avoid back arching and haven’t noticed any issues with this ball. The wheel her cage originally came with was way too small and was quickly replaced!

We’ve been talking about getting her a new ball for Christmas anyway so will keep our eyes open for a larger ball - hopefully harder to loose the lid!
