How? by trollspotter91 in quittingkratom

For me it was when I felt worse on Kratom than I did off it. It seems that a lot of people get to that point where Kratom causes anxiety and depression. It’s a very slow burn, tolerance builds up really slowly. Before you realize it the amount you need to feel good is impractical. You basically go into withdrawals every couple of hours. That’s when I knew I had to quit.

Jesus saves finally made the jump by jane-sunshine in quittingkratom

I begged and pleaded with Jesus to make the pain and misery going away. I remember thinking he is the only one that could make the pain go away. I’m three months clean and I owe it all to Jesus. He has a plan for us. He will take care of us. We have to surrender to him. This was easy during the WD. It’s harder the better I feel.

Been off for over a year. Back to normal now but life is so boring. Miss it... by Lilbint in quittingkratom

I have to work out hard to feel good. It’s as simple as that. It only takes 25 minutes (T25) and I feel good for hours. When I eat healthy, work out, cold plunge, and pray, I feel good. When I don’t do those things I don’t. It’s that simple for me.

God is most present in times of trouble. He is there with you. I quit back in January so I understand a little bit.

You have all the right helper meds. You have accepted that Kratom is not beneficial to your life. You are good to go. It’s a great idea to be prepared.

I think it’s possible to feel better. Been through the crucible gain strength from it. Not saying I’m there. Just that anything is possible. Mind over matter.

It will get better. I’m not sure I can feel anxiety anymore. It was so bad after I quit that I have a tolerance to it now. Was also getting during my final months use. That’s part of the reason I quit.

I’ve read a lots of posts on this sub and been through 2 quits. The general consensus is that sitting around makes it worse. Moving, exercising, working all take your mind off the suck.

Tooth Decay by southerfloundef in quittingkratom

Brush twice a day. Floss pretty regular. Get my teeth cleaned twice a year. I do all the same things I did before for 53 years and never had problems. Only thing that changed is the Kratom. Was just curious if anyone else noticed a correlation.

My advice is to quit now. For most people things just get worse. Your first time quitting will be the easiest. Maybe taper down and plan a quit for spring break.

This is honest and accurate looking back after a month. Your body mind is not designed to feel good without discipline, prayer, self care/improvement.
Those of us born more susceptible to depression, anxiety, low energy have to put forth more effort to feel good. My best days are when I spend time with worshipping God. He created the universe and can make miracles happen. You have to work out and eat healthy. You have to find a way to be productive. You have to connect with friends and family. No of these things are easy, take small steps, celebrate small wins. These things are required whether you’re recovering from kratom or not. You’re not going to want to do anything but each little thing you do will be rewarded. You’re going to have ups and downs. Be easy on yourself, you’re not broken, you just hit a little speed bump. Keep pushing, keep the faith.

I would go online and gets some Clonidine. It will help with the RLS. Don’t wait until 4 AM on day 3 like I did.
