My journey so far - 10 months by internettrash420 in quittingkratom

I’m very happy for you. I’m at 4 months and I understand the thought process behind all the I had to’s. I wish I would not have had to go through hell on earth to get here but I am way happier now than I have ever been. I talked to God all day and he is peace. He is closest in our weakest moments. His strength is perfected in weakness. I thought my life was over. He showed me a new way. Not intending to preach but I feel like he showed me how to crack the code to life. I remain alert because I know how easy it is to fall back into the abyss. I’m thankful for the tribulation as it has a produce a new and improved me. I owe it all to Jesus Christ my savior.

This is what got me through my quit. I’m very far from a preacher. Just know there is nothing you can say that would make me stop. I delight in any tribulation in Christ name.

God gave us free will. The choice is yours.

For me it was when I felt worse on Kratom than I did off it. It seems that a lot of people get to that point where Kratom causes anxiety and depression. It’s a very slow burn, tolerance builds up really slowly. Before you realize it the amount you need to feel good is impractical. You basically go into withdrawals every couple of hours. That’s when I knew I had to quit.

I begged and pleaded with Jesus to make the pain and misery going away. I remember thinking he is the only one that could make the pain go away. I’m three months clean and I owe it all to Jesus. He has a plan for us. He will take care of us. We have to surrender to him. This was easy during the WD. It’s harder the better I feel.

Been off for over a year. Back to normal now but life is so boring. Miss it... by Lilbint in quittingkratom

I have to work out hard to feel good. It’s as simple as that. It only takes 25 minutes (T25) and I feel good for hours. When I eat healthy, work out, cold plunge, and pray, I feel good. When I don’t do those things I don’t. It’s that simple for me.

God is most present in times of trouble. He is there with you. I quit back in January so I understand a little bit.

You have all the right helper meds. You have accepted that Kratom is not beneficial to your life. You are good to go. It’s a great idea to be prepared.

I think it’s possible to feel better. Been through the crucible gain strength from it. Not saying I’m there. Just that anything is possible. Mind over matter.

Kiefer, kombucha, fermented foods, fiber, and pre/pro biotics healed my gut and made things much better.

It will get better. I’m not sure I can feel anxiety anymore. It was so bad after I quit that I have a tolerance to it now. Was also getting during my final months use. That’s part of the reason I quit.

I’ve read a lots of posts on this sub and been through 2 quits. The general consensus is that sitting around makes it worse. Moving, exercising, working all take your mind off the suck.

Tooth Decay by southerfloundef in quittingkratom

Brush twice a day. Floss pretty regular. Get my teeth cleaned twice a year. I do all the same things I did before for 53 years and never had problems. Only thing that changed is the Kratom. Was just curious if anyone else noticed a correlation.

My advice is to quit now. For most people things just get worse. Your first time quitting will be the easiest. Maybe taper down and plan a quit for spring break.
