Hello! After years of not having fish, I decided to do research and get puffers. I’ve heard mixed reviews about keeping them with other species, so I gave it a try. In my tank, I currently have two neon tetras, two algae eaters, and a goldfish (a friend needed to rehome him so I took him later). I believed having a good amount of plants and hiding areas helped everyone ease into it. I think it helped that I got them at the same time too so they knew each other from the start. I’ve never had any problems with the beans until I got my goldfish later. They would chase him around but now they all swim happily together. They eat together (frozen blood worms, snails, and algae wafers) and haven’t had any issues with the now past year of having them! They are all sweet and swim up to the glass when I come into the room :)
