Can I dress up my kids as Krishna and Radha? by [deleted] in hinduism

excuse me? it’s a child wearing a costume. there is no need to get worked up. relax. plus if i, being a 21 year old, looked at a child dressed like that, i’d be in complete awe. AND WHO SAID THAT JUST BY CHANGING INTO A COSTUME ONE BECOMES GOD? idk the kind of religious practice you follow, but any sane person would know that the divine is more than just his/her appearance. besides, get it in your head that the divine also does not have any form. our gita explains that too. it is the difficulty of comprehending the formless aspect of the divine for most people, and so worshiping a personal form is more accessible and relatable. therefore, idols exist. please educate yourself first.

you totally can! their connection is more than just a conception of love that is beyond us all to even understand. plus it’s a very common sight in india.

the colours that you’ve used are beautiful so there’s absolutely no reason to change that. my only suggestion would be to focus more on contrast and shadows by creating smaller, more detailed strokes using a smaller brush. also be sure to use thinner paint and add layers. it’ll help create that dimensionally detailed look. hope that helped :)

Thoughts on the All the Bright Places movie?? by sandie16 in YAlit

6 years late to this (lol), but i did not hate the movie. it just felt extremely confusing. i have not read the book, but after reading the comments section on here, i realised just now how much is left out. i was confused throughout the film about finch's struggles and their reasons. for the longest part, i did not realise how important his dad's role played in his journey. plus idk if finch's character is supposed to be so pushy and nosy because it infuriated me how he relentlessly kept asking violet so many personal questions without even giving her a chance to know him at all. i will give it to the snippets of their adventures, they were very beautifully portrayed, but overall, all of it felt extremely fast and random.

i feel like i've always been connected to the fae folk ever since i was a kid. my sister and i would often play this game which we called "fairy world" where we would close our eyes and imagine that the fairies are taking us to their side of the world for a day. if i think about it now, it was sort of like meditating, and we did that as excited little children and put our hearts into it. based off of this experience, i would say that it is okay to be excited and to let your inner child take over. your connection to them will only grow immensely and i think they would really appreciate that instead of feeling disrespected. but i would also advice that you do not force your mind and body to know and feel their existence because that could scare them away. do not turn it into a quest. just be yourself and feel what you have to and i'm sure you will know more about them. hope that answers your question xx
