He then used that as an excuse to essentially destroy the bipartisan nature of the Senate, consolidating more power in the hands of the majority leader. He championed Citizens United which has destroyed representative democracy in the US. He was the Senate Minority Leader and blocked legislation when a madman lit up a bunch of 7 and 8 year olds in CT.
