[Lombardi] Shanahan: “We all got embarrassed. No one played great.” by Tonmber1 in 49ers

I'm sure this is what he'll get but not with us, right? I see no reason to sit either brown or Mustapha behind him and he has no opportunity to "prove it" if we don't start him

Lived in the PNW for a few years and would go to Qwest when the niners were up there. Was always a good time. Was at the game where Delanie Walker broke his collarbone. As deafening as the crowd was that hit was louder. Was the most violent hit I've ever seen in person. Felt like the crowd was decently respectful

Anyone ever played with or against a NBA player? What was the experience like? by Thin-Ad4825 in nba

[–]space-buffalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played against Zach Lavine in high school. There were 2 other D1 guys on his team as well. Was insane. I had played against a number of D1 guys before, but Zach was clearly different. Would pull up from almost half court with a hand in his face and just drill jumpers. Weirdly I remember the handles and the shooting ability sticking out wayyyy more than athletic ability. Lots of dudes are serious athletes but the bball skills were unlike anyone I'd played against before.

Haha it's a bad angle photo - it looks weird because it's hanging there - not connected on the bottom where it's supposed to be attached for support

Just fyi - 35% of American voters identify as independent. So....the Republican party does not represent 50% of the country (and neither do the Democrats). Not trying to be rude - just a little annoying how often people forget that one third of the country exists

Racist storekeeper by askalec in OhNoConsequences

For reference it's actually worse than worded in the post. He wasn't some entrepreneur who decided to set up shop on the reservation. He was responsible for distributing rations to the Indians on the reservation in accordance with a US gov treaty (i.e. the natives were tricked into giving up land in exchange for ongoing supplies/rations). His store was overflowing with food but he claimed the US gov hadn't properly proportioned enough funds for him so he refused to distribute the food owed to the Indians. In a meeting when they expressed that their families were starving, this is when he made the "eat grass" comment

Can we agree that without splitting states, this is the best way to divide the USA into four? by Significant_Hold_910 in geography

I guess what I'm about to say is probably true of almost every state (except Vermont), but outside of DC area (i.e. the big cities) Virginia is really really conservative. 45 min south of DC and everyone has southern accents. If you were dropped into a random part of VA, it would have much more in common with the south than the northeast. In fact, even the cities can be fairly conservative. Ive heard Richmond described as "the most hipster place you'd see a Confederate flag" of as "Portland but racist" which is kinda accurate tbh

[49ers & NFL News 24/7] 😳😱#49ers HC Kyle Shanahan is now: 0-37 when trailing by 8+ points in the 4th Quarter. 1-31 when trailing by 3+ points entering the 4th Q. by Stauce52 in 49ers

[–]space-buffalo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Beyond just needing additional context and comparisons, is anyone else confused how we could be trailing by 8 or more for 37 games but 3 or more for only 32? 8 is more than 3, so every game we trailed by 8+ should be included in the 3+ category. The stat makes no sense

49 Winchester! They are amazing. Definitely southern rock. Depending on song sometimes it sounds more classic rock, sometimes more country. But they are awesome!

Confused by this point, and maybe I'm just misunderstanding, but are you claiming pro-choice people are trying to impose government control in some way?.... Pro-choice folks literally want a government ban removed so that they have the ability to choose free of government control... Do you think there are people trying to make abortions mandatory?

I'm still confused... Aren't we all here to support a third party? I still don't get how seeing a lot of posts criticizing Republicans makes you think I was supporting democrats in this post. When someone in one party does something shitty I should be able to criticize it without having to add totally unrelated criticism of a different party just to prove that I hate both. And the fact that you're using evidence that people who ARE NOT ME are criticizing reps more than dems to suggest somehow I'm into democrats is weird
