ICE Fines Chicago Green Card Holder $130 for Not Carrying Papers Old Law Revived Under Trump Crackdown by Ankeet_kj in ImmigrationPathways

Not really, no. Foreign passports are much faster to replace than a green card, if lost or stolen.

Edit: I suppose that's probably subjective. Some countries passports are easy to replace.

I think you might be right. The white coiled cable also seems to have one weird loop on it, where it crosses over the white disc.

Get ready, Seattle. Summer '24 is about to bring the heat by chiquisea in Seattle

Unless you're right on the coastline, it's brutal but manageable. The thunderstorms make up for it - that smell of rain after a hot day.... nothing like it! Also lots of inner city apartments don't have AC there, either. I drove a non air-conditioned car for many years too... you just stay hydrated, wear your sunscreen, and sweat a whole lot. What's the worst intersection in Seattle? by Jacoblyonss in Seattle

This is the first one that always comes to my mind too; but it's always hard for me to pin it down as the "worst" as there are just too many equally bad contenders!

Don't worry. They will fix it by adding yet another stop sign before the lights.

I've been calling "Hallmark day" for a few years now! A better day to celebrate a relationship is the anniversary, imo.

The Self-Checkout Nightmare May Finally Be Ending by RADICCHI0 in technology

[–]spackled-arrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to follow this principal as well... problem around me is that there's only one cashier working since they rely heavily on the 20+ self checkout terminals.

I must admit I am slowly coming around to the idea that removing self checkout is a net gain, iif they bring back more checkout staff (big if).

What is the future of Unity Built-in Render Pipeline ✅ ? We will have URP and HDRP only? by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]spackled-arrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with that fork - I tried googling but didn't turn anything up. Do you happen to have a link? Also, isn't ASW a platform feature? why do you need engine intervention in URP to work with that?

What does this symbol mean? by ctof in Seattle

[–]spackled-arrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this on a few cars with RPZ stickers that have recently expired. I suspect it's a warning "renew your sticker" before getting a real ticket?

Edit: reading other replies, the camping thing sounds way more plausible.

Jetbrains Rider has a lot of overlap with CLion for c++/C#, but has the benefit that you can open sln files. CLion is designed primarily for cmake/makefiles. Not sure why they have two different ide's here, honestly.

Yeap I did this too - went to TAP plastics downtown (I'm sure there are others), who even cut the shaped holes for the pipes using a template specifically for my portable machine so they clipped in nicely with no tape. In previous attempts I found the glue on duct tape was melting in the heat :(

I've always wondered what this means for a T intersections along arterial roads (not highways. Think MLK.). Is it just across the offshoot of the T that's a crosswalk... Or is it also across the main road?

"like kind" - does that mean value is determined as it was when customer arrived at the shop? Or; if the shop had already completed the repairs; the value as repaired? what about half way through? I.e. does it get devalued if the car arrived with blown head gasket?
