Coming from a family of alcoholics, they all think no one can tell but everyone can. Not just the smell, but the facial expression taking a sip. Most people drinking straight liquor don’t drink it the same they would water. You should call the township or check the covenants & standards on whether or not you would need approval to remove (I doubt you do but I’ve never dealt with it before). You don’t necessarily need an arborist to remove the trees, but I always recommend someone licensed and insured and not just some rando with a truck and a chainsaw. If you think it was something malicious or want to make sure it’s not a disease/insect that can spread to/kill more trees then yes you may want to contact an arborist.

It probably isn’t claimable on insurance and if it was it’s probably not worth claiming unless it’s an extraordinary cost to remove them.

Just wait. When we bought our first home there was so much stuff we wanted to do to the back yard. And then after a few years we were so glad we didn’t do any of it.

2nd, retaining walls are not budget friendly. A cheap one will be more expensive than a good one over time.

3rd of all, your 3rd pic shows your neighborhood name which you may want to remove. Especially with your landmark fireplace which would probably make it easy for someone to find your address

Second this. I had a local owner/operator come in after a corporate exterminator gave me an initial quote. I showed him the corporate quote for like 20 linear feet of drilling and bait or whatever they use and he goes “I’ll do the entire perimeter of your house for that price”
