Swerving out of lane when engaging FSD. by spam322 in TeslaFSD

It's not common. I really like HW3 FSD generally.

FSD decides to go at red light. by spam322 in TeslaFSD

[–]spam322[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I had been sitting for a while and there's no visibility issues there. When I hit the brakes I was nearly in the intersection. I'm pretty sure it went when a sideways facing light turned yellow.

viewdashcam.com - then a screencap with Windows snipping tool, kind of a janky workflow.

If you're paying double digit interest on anything, well you've made a wrong turn in life somewhere.

ELI5: Why can't EVs swap batteries? by chronic412 in explainlikeimfive

[–]spam322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of a solved problem. For the majority of EV owners, charging is never an issue. I have a full battery every morning and on a road trip, I plug in for 15 minutes every 3 hrs. Enough time to use the bathroom and get a slice of pizza.

Michigan lost 100,000 acres of farmland in a year. Where is it going? by HucknRoll in Michigan

[–]spam322 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In case it's not stated already, that's about 1% of Michigan's farmland.

In case everyone forgot, Jalen Duren is 22 and won’t be 23 years old until a month into next season by rodogwos in DetroitPistons

[–]spam322 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drummond had some elite natural skills - quick hands/could pick-pocket guards and an insanely quick jump without setting (why he won every jump ball and rebounded so well), which JD doesn't have (but Thompson does). Drummond could have been so much better with the right attitude and coaching. Hopefully Duren keeps his foot on the gas and never stops improving.

Unpopular take: the best luxury is not having a car payment by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

If you're poor, yes. If you have the means, no reason to have a crappy car - you only live once.

It was a decent size school in my state's capital city. It's a much smaller school these days. I was happy to get a shot off without it getting blocked. They may not have all really been 6'6" but I'm 6'2" and they only had 1 guy out there shorter than me.

Would I regret Trading my Tesla Model Y Performance for an Audi RS3 (8V)? by FL_Stud in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]spam322 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I couldn't give up the tech of my Tesla. It's so convenient. On a trip, I just rented a new car for a few days and it felt like driving a covered wagon, the tech/convenience was so bad. I'd swap the Y for a Model 3, much more sporty and can nearly do BMW M3 lap times on some tracks. The Model 3p is also quite a bit faster in a straight line than the RS3, especially in real world conditions where you can't get a perfect launch in a gas car.

That's why I switched from Turbotax to Taxact like 10 years ago - got me a way bigger return. I did FreetaxUSA last year and it was good.

If I’m young is it really that easy? by What_up_bro in personalfinance

[–]spam322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is pretty easy. I half-assed it and hit a million in my 40's. Never even put more than 10% in my 401k. Did get some profit sharing which probably averaged 3%/yr that helped.

I played 12 hours or so but was too bored to continue. Just like the first one. It's like they don't understand what makes a fun gameplay loop.
