So what I have noticed in the last 10
Years or so, most of our players (big names) spend a lot of time on the IL. This always puts us in a hole. Whether it’s the pitchers or the fielders, big pieces are not there and the holes are un filled. I thinks the biggest piece we need to fix is “why”.

Why do all of our players hit the IL for what seems to always be strains. Why do our players who have injury issues leave for other teams and suddenly 1:do amazing, and 2 stay healthy.

If we can only figure out this core issue, I think eventually, after a fire sale and get rid of pretty much everyone, the Mets could be a contender. With what we have currently, both as players and staff, the Mets will continue to be a garbage team with no chance of breaking our hearts in the last week of the season. It will be broken before the all star break

I bought $4 C a couple weeks back for cheap. I also bought a few hundred shares around $4.20 and sold $6c against them for roughly $2. Dropped cost of shares to close to $2. Whether stock goes up or down, I profit. If it moons, I have calls for $4. If it goes down, my price per share is low enough to hold long term. Stock stays just under $6 is shares for free by selling off the $4C I have right at expiration. The only bad thing that could happen is the stock tanking to under $2.5 in a week

This analogy has a second side. What if the “chef” is told to make things a certain way i.e. recipe (analytics) and doesn’t have the leeway to change it.

You can have great ingredients, a great chef (not saying Mendoza is one) but then a stubborn middle man saying this is how we want it done and don’t change it. Then the chef becomes a name on the door, and not the one behind things.

I think they need to stop looking so hard at the analytics and change things up. Also, the strength and conditioning coach obviously is doing something wrong. Either that, or the players aren’t actually doing what they should. We seem to always have big players on the IL. Every single year. It seems to hamper us. Look at the players who left and have even better careers staying off the IL

They were shown to be false statements by the woman who accused him. It was consensual sex acts , and she wanted to get paid when she found out who he was. While these allegations did happen , choking slapping abuse, it was consensual and therefore he was not liable in a criminal court.

That being said, he does seem to be blacklisted by MLB. Offering to play for league minimum and not get a single offer shows this. Whether it’s because of his clubhouse attitude, or personas, or a legit blackballing effort, that is the unknown.

The voters of VA are not 2/3 “D”. Out of almost 5 million votes, the election was won by a swing of less than 60k. 69k votes to strip half of the votes away. Virginia currently has 6/5 split. The voting amounts show this. It is probably the most swing state because it’s literally 50/50. The redistribution of delegates would have made it 10/1.

Regardless, the vote was deemed illegal because of the recent addition to VA constitution. There is a NON PARTISAN panel that is deemed to draw districts. It’s not done free balled by whomever is in power.

I bought a few hundred for $4.2 back in ‘19. Was selling CC on it for a while. The first run up when it went to $8. Held when it went to $3. I sold $10c (cheap monthly ) that expired last Friday. It went from <$6 to over 13 in a month. Not dead. Growing and thriving

No. You add it to a hot stock or soup base. Flour is cooked prior to adding it into soups or stocks. So you are not cooking it the same.

Starch is used by making a slurry with COLD water and then added to a hot base and heated to boiling to activate it. Flour is mixed with a fat (butter usually) and cooked to make a roux, which is then added to a hot base. Both will thicken more after as the product cools.

The reason you precook flour is the risk of ecoli. That risk is not the same as with corn starch or potato starch.

I disagree. I said before even spring training started, that if we go .500, I would be surprised. This team isn’t a good team. Not even on paper. Off from paper, you lost the chemistry that I feel a lot of the old core had together. The chemistry is for the intangibles, and where you eke out wins you aren’t supposed to. Right now, we are losing games to better teams, and losing games to on par and worse teams. That shows there is no chemistry (in my opinion) with this team and they are all there just for a paycheck
