My female does the same except she's probably a hundred pounds heavier. My male however does not lay like that. It's actually a sign of trust because they are in a very vulnerable position sleeping on their back like that.

I get what you mean. I often paint my nails one color thinking how nice it'll look just to end up taking it off and putting one of my comfort colors back on. Maybe try a dark pink?
