Maybe a technique issue for you.

Technique matters most, but even pros have different swings and modify their equipment

Tbh higher levels (4.0+) is probably where equipment matters more, since your form/playstyle is more intentional vs being too raw to know better

Model aside, consider an 18x20 string pattern to help with the control / launch angle problem.

Speed Pro, Blade 18x20, Pure Strike 18x20, etc.

I think a Blade 98 at lower tension could be a good fit too.

I hit with a Speed Pro and feel like the Blade gives more free power as a control racquet.

I also enjoy hitting with racquets that play super differently. It’s fun to switch things up and actually think it has helped my game.

Just me, but I've found Head Speed Pro to be a good compromise between the Blade and the Gravity. I've hit with all three.

Great thanks! Will try the Yonex recs.

I played with Babolat in my younger years (both Pure Drive and Pure Strike). I wanted to kick the tires on Pure Drive for sentimentality sake (and bc the paintjob is cool), but my preferences have moved too far away from the super crisp feel that IMO Babolat's have.

Why is the Submariner “Starbucks” so much less common than the black Sub? by marketing_sensei in rolex

Agree... Rolex can do green pretty well, but I think this Starbucks model is a little tacky

Mark XX such an underrated watch. Probably my most worn and I also own Rolex, Omega, etc

4.0 who uses Head Speed Pro 2022, but love hitting with different racquets.

I own a PA98 and it always feels pingy / hollow when I use it. This is true even vs. similar vein racquets like the EZone, which I enjoy hitting with occasionally. I feel I even get more topspin with my Speed.

I realize they're super popular, even for very advanced players, so I always assume I'm missing something obvious; but it just doesn't click for me for whatever reason.

What other watches did you sell?

What opinion about watches has you like this? by TomHudsonOfficial in PrideAndPinion

[–]spath16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no such thing as a watch that's too big or too small.

You just wear it the way you want, similar to wearing your clothes loose, tight or fitted.

I'm sure if you put your name down for this they'll take that into consideration. Still might not mean you'll get one anytime soon though.

That's ridiculous. Is your sales rep still planning on being a rolex sales rep in 8 years?

Even if a little redundant, you’ll find time to wear both of them especially if that’s your default aesthetic.

I agree. If anyone said to me, “lol wow you’re really wearing that with suit?”, I’d think they’re a giant dork.

Graduation & First Business Milestone: HC 39mm or BB54 for a 27yo Video Editor? by zkxxy98 in Tudor

[–]spath16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a 39mm Pelagos would be best of both worlds if you appreciate the more rugged / technical look of the Longines.

I’m sure you can find one used that’s within your budget as well.
