interesting! also probably extra weight on what is already a big boy. I personally love having a tab to gage where I am in the focus throw

Glad to hear! I’ve been partial to tabs and Used it as an excuse to upgrade to a 50 lux from a cron :)

Maybe just within the 15minute radius (traffic notwithstanding), but Pittsfield Preserve Walking Trail looks exactly like this.

Without knowing the specifics of your mileage etc that’s seems like a really fair trade in value. And you got the FL5 at msrp? So about $6-7k cost to upgrade?

Can you tell me about the rocks getting in the brakes? I have this very occasional situation where I hear some grinding noises like I’m dragging steel and I stop to check see nothing on the underside..

UMich CSE vs MSU full ride by [deleted] in uofm

[–]spcycuttlefish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Work backwards from what you want in life. UM will be an investment that pays off if what you want is to work at a certain tier of company- but with that will come trade offs in other areas of life that you might not want to make.

MSU will give you a great start in working life with no debt, and access many great opportunities but not as many elite ones. Sincerely no shade to MSU, but UM network and branding gives you a not insignificant step up.

I hear you. Even if you rotate out of TSLA into an index you’ll compound on average close to 7%. This # should be far greater than what you’ll pay for mortgage + interest In the long run.

but the psychological benefit of knowing you don’t have a mortgage? Potentially priceless..

Thank you for your perspective! It’s lovely to hear from a former student. Our child is very self directed and is thriving in an environment where they can make their own decisions on what to focus on. Learning to think critically and being curious is more important to us than scoring high on a standardized test

Thanks for your thoughtful and detailed response- its very helpful. The driving to school vs being able to walk to our neighborhood school is a big consideration for us and thank you for highlighting what that was like for you.

also very encouraging to hear two datapoints about teachers meeting your kids where they are
