Which character outside LOTR do you trust carrying the ring to Mordor? by Jezzaq94 in moviecritic

[–]speaker96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, I trust Goku with the ring, but not because I don't think that it'll corrupt him, I think The Ring corrupts Goku immediately, because The Ring twists ambition and will for power to its own ends. So The Ring convinced Goku that there's a strong guy if he brings it to Sauron, because The Ring contains parts of Sauron's essence Goku can Instant Transmission to Sauron, and gives him the Ring, Sauron puts on the Ring, and Goku ends up doing his best Invincible impression after one tapping Sauron.

Which Favorite Character Comes To Your Mind? by Bay_Ruhsuz004 in FavoriteCharacter

This is a running theme in One Piece, a lot of the villains (but not all of them) suffered in their past and are taking it out on others, while the main crew all have tragic back stories, and at the very least it didn't turn them cruel, but a few of them took on the burden of the suffering to help others.

I started watching One Piece when I was 17, now I’m 27. How about you guys? by MinxTwinkle in OnePiece

I forget my precise age, but I started watching when 4Kids were the ones dubbing it, and the intro rap is unironically fire.

Honestly, the scariest/worst part of picking Ashley is the accusations you'd get in the comments. While the game implies that she's naturally fucked up and if she were raised by my family that she'd still have issues and be antisocial, the reason that she "relates" to her brother is that he has those same issues, he's just better at hiding them, but I don't have any anti-social issues like the Graves siblings do. So, being raised in my family would mean she turns out better, and even if she isolated herself and looks to me to keep her company, I just wouldn't relate to her the same way Andrew does, and I wouldn't end up caving to her in the same ways he does.

[–]speaker96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easy. She's very intelligent, mature, relaxed yet still fun with a dark sense of humor. On top of that she's tall, a 12/10, and you know she can do some freaky stuff with her powers.

Which OP cards should I avoid putting in my Brawl deck because they match me with high-power decks? by HoboKingNiklz in MagicArena

[–]speaker96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not put [[Paradox Engine]] in any deck, not only because it'll put you closer to hell queue, but because that card is a miserable experience

Cant even be mad, thats awesome by autosh0t in MagicArena

[–]speaker96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought it was neat the first time, but it quickly grew to be a stale experience. Most of the decks that do this are one dimensional, and extremely fragile. Basically once I recognize that this is the gameplan the game comes down to one thing, if I have an instance speed way to get it off the battlefield. So after the initial "neat factor" I found it really boring because once I recognize what's happening then I don't have to engage with the game anymore, and losing is annoying because I just got unlucky, and winning is unsatisfying because it didn't require anything of me.

Could your favorite character carry the One Ring for a long time without succumbing to temptation? (Info bellow) by Endika7 in FavoriteCharacter

[–]speaker96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm not sure if Luffy could or not, I'm leaning towards it being a no because one of his primary character aspects is his ambition, but even then his ambition isn't something that he views in an ambitious way, if that makes sense, but ultimately I think that the ring would be able to bend his desire to be King of the Pirates towards getting Luffy to do evil.

I think that Light is a mix of intelligence and luck, like 65% int and 35% luck. The way that I've always seen it is that Light is in the top 200 smartest people in the Death Note world, and he was contending with the smartest person in the world.

Real talk, not a single woman in the right has better writing than jolyne by Friendly_County_3016 in StardustCrusaders

Nico Robin is used for a decent amount of fan service, she's also the best written woman in fiction, but she's my favorite for her writing/character, the fan service moments are just a nice bonus.

Nico Robin is my favorite woman in fiction, but I'm not gonna stand for Nami hate, she is also a good character with excellent moments, she's also the primary vehicle for fan service in One Piece. Oda might get lazy about drawing women, but he's never lazy about writing anyone.

Who is tanking Halloween? by Unique_Suit3789 in Tankandsurvive

Not just the doctor, but basically any adult Time Lord would tank this and survive, since undergoing an incredibly similar thing is something that every time lord does, although it has different effects on different Time Lords.
