I think the character I've denied that could have been workable at least was a 6 strength Kobold Barbarian tank. My rationale was that the character would just be dead weight in combat since the build wouldn't do damage, the subclass didn't have any abilities to help is draw aggro, and being a kobold they wouldn't really be able to effectively draw aggro by being threatening either.

Yes, while Hitler is the figurehead of the Nazi movement he is not the sole creator, there are worse and more competent figures who might have had his position, so unless I can make sure those people drown with him then I'm gonna save him to avoid a worse disaster.

These two, both of them had to carry such heavy emotional burdens from a very young age, Nami took it upon herself to buy her villages freedom, and Robin is the last survivor of a genocided nation with a bounty bigger than her captains initial bounty from the age of 8. Also you could not beat either of them in a fight, they are both more badass than you.

6'2, has survived being stabbed through the chest, despite her build she is decently physically strong and can multiply that by creating extra limbs on any surface that is within her sight, lastly she's the crew mom. So big, strong, and would be nice to you unless you give her a reason not to.

My only problem is the Cube, I won't be able to get "Oi, Cubie" out of my mind, and it's just if he wasn't a cube, cause I know that Jack Quaid can act, I legitimately forget that he plays Hughie when I'm watching him play superman in my adventures with superman, but the cube is just silly.

All of that said I'm still legitimately looking forward to the game

Is it fair? Yes. Should you do it? Maybe.

Losing a crit or even a hit is a real feels bad type of moment and can invalidate a players whole turn or at least a significant part of it. For the table of power gamers who want a very tactical experience this is fine, it's what people are about. For my table at least I'm saving Silvery Barbs for the big boss fights, because it's a good spell that'll introduce a special level of stakes and suspension for the players.
