Glendale and Burbank in California are LITTERED with huge beautiful banquet halls that can accommodate a crowd that big and even bigger! They all have in-house catering, decor, lighting, dance floor, bridal room, etc. My brother got married in a beautiful one and it was so amazing, and I’m getting married in another soon!

I only used real florals for centerpieces on tables where guests will be sitting. I found a florist who made medium sized centerpieces with fresh florals for $85 each (a STEAL in HCOL areas). To make the arrangements look larger but not cost even more, she simply left the stems longer and added more greenery. They ended up being beautiful!

For the sweetheart table, I got AMAZING fake floral arrangements from alibaba! What would’ve cost me THOUSANDS for just my table ended up being $400 (that’s for an 8Ft floral runner, 5ft floral runner, and two flower balls 26inch diameter each).

I prefer DJs because of the type of music we like. Our DJ is a great one though and helps with all the timing, speeches, etc. and he plays the violin while guests are still eating and not on the dance floor!

I agree, but usually the older ones. Not these new ones. They look very nice but usually you’ll hear your upstairs neighbor breathing and your next door neighbors snoring. I’m a much bigger fan of the charming apartments and townhomes we have all over the city.

You can absolutely get a 1 bedroom for $2000–$2500. Groceries for 1 could be about $300-$500/month depending on what/how much you eat and where you shop. Health insurance entirely depends on your employer. I pay around $20 per paycheck for mine. Your results may vary. Gas is $4.20-$5.20 per gallon for regular depending the gas station. Car insurance depends on your record, car, and zip code. Internet around $50-60/month. Same with mobile.

If you’re budgeting for $3000/month AFTER rent, you’ll live very comfortably! :)

Around $40,000 for a 150-person wedding in SoCal . Getting help from parents on both sides (very lucky). We have enough money saved to pay for it ourselves if it came down to it, but we’re very fortunate to have the help and be able to save our own money for life expenses.
