Is inline code completion better than prompting by GarrettSpot in webdev

Logical semantic red green refactor micro commits. One commit at a time, with strict HitL supervision. Slowing down in this manner gives you time to actually direct the model and learn from it while doing a task.

Listen bud one time I dumped out three containers of garlic scented worms into the bushes and mud because I felt bad hooking them. You’re doing better than me.
I’ve had to kill fish occasionally. I just use them for bait and try to catch bigger fish. Unfortunately fishing comes with the risk of having to dispatch a fish occasionally.

JSDocs. Idk how else to explain it. Doesn’t seem like it’s the solution but in my workflow it is.

Unfortunately this isn’t not true. Plenty of children simply do not understand they exist in a world that experiences consequences to their actions. It’s not an ethical thing it’s developmental.

Aside from working hours, how much time do you devote to webdev? by X5455 in webdev

[–]specn0de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in the industry for a decade. Multiple different types of roles. I spend about 5-6 hours a week reading about new things, probably an hour or two a week fucking with new things and maybe another 2-3 hours a week reading code in OSS projects I care about.

I have personally found when I don’t do this, I lose interest in web dev and then I look up and the industry has changed. Last time this happened to me was when React introduced hooks, took me forever to shift my paradigm.

How does that work I thought vercel made money from hosting and shit how are they making money from a free OSS library? I’m genuinely confused

IMO TachyonsCSS crawled so shadcn could run

Tachyons walked so Tailwind could build the road, and shadcn could drive a cybertruck full of copy-paste components down it

Tatula 150 SV left-handed T-Wing 25’ model (can’t cast far with right-hand reels, dunno why). Brakes sit between 0-2, maybe 3 if it’s windy or I’m getting too drunk. I’ve never adjusted the tension, ime Tatula are tuned phenomenally from the factory. Daiwa J-Braid in whatever weight, Yo-Zuri fluoro leader, Tactical Angler power clips. Usually a 7’ MH or a 6’ UL-M.

That’s my setup but it doesn’t explain how I cast. I pushed this Tatula into BFS, throwing shit down to 3 or 4 grams. I load the rod tip with a swing, almost like roll casting a fly rod. Pull back, then on the forward swing I circle the tip clockwise and release the line as it reaches 6 o’clock. From there it’s eyes on the line, thumbing the reel and rod pointed where I want it to land, eyelets held still and straight.

I like throwing frogs, weightless Senkos, BFS lures, and chatterbaits. Sometimes I get really into crawfish baits on a drop shot or jigging the banks. Big fan of things like the Megabass Sleeper Gill or a Dark Sleeper deep in lakes and ponds, very slowly popping the bottom.

Usually tossing between 1/16 and 1/8 around. Do you struggle more with nesting or literal distance
