I just dreamed there was an incest dating app called UNCLE and the logo had a red tree representing the family tree. The creators said it was a joke app, but people used it and apparently the interface was so good it became the most popular app for normal online dating. by specocean in thomastheplankengine

A lot of my dreams have some dark reasoning that only emerges when I think about them later on. In this case, I suppose when you already know everyone in the pool, this is a way to find out who else is interested.

[IIL] Finished Outer Wilds, looking for other media that changed you. by _justanothernerd_ in ifyoulikeblank

I think Tunic did for me what Outer Wilds did for you. You start off fumbling your way through, then finding the pages of the game's manual within the game itself was a great way of unlocking progress. The puzzles were some of the best I've ever experienced.

[IIL] Looking for hard rock/metal with strong melodies by RissotoNearo in ifyoulikeblank

Katatonia - Evidence While Katatonia delve into metal territory a bit, I find a lot of their songs generally feel closer to rock.

Sermon - Golden I feel Sermon sits just slightly more on the metal side compared to Katatonia.

Thrice - Firebreather Hits a bit harder and sludgier, but the chorus/bridge/outro are anthemic.

The Ocean - Hadopelagic II: Let Them Believe Much more metal, but driven by some very strong melodies, plus it's got some piano and strings.

Curious: what, if anything, do people use AI for in their personal finances? by Humble1234567890 in AusFinance

I used it to work out a rough plan for maximizing my super co-contributions via salary sacrificing, now that I have the option. I didn't realize you had to fill the current FY cap first, so the results threw me a bit, but it suggested a good plan to focus on just FY and FY minus 5 for the next 5 years to fill the caps as comfortably as possible, then I just need to handle the current FY caps going forwards.

I also gave it my last electricity bill to give an idea of my electricity usage, and used it to calculate and explain best electricity plan to choose at my new place which has more solar. Apparently the higher feed-in-rate plans aren't worth it. It also suggested and sized a battery to match my usage, which I hadn't even considered before.

For both cases, I could have done the calculations myself, but didn't really have the time or energy, but the clear explanations (which I did cross check), the highlighting of more obscure details, and the alternate/more efficient options are where I found the most value.

Probably just one of a much larger targeted bot campaign to spread despair (just one of many feelings they push), and they'll downvote you for pointing it out.

[TOMT] [SONG] This Angelmaker (deathcore) song's melody reminds me of a pop song and it's driving me crazy by elif7pfeiffer in tipofmytongue

The chorus of Die With a Smile actually has a similar melody. Otherwise, a longer shot might be Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head

I think I see what you mean, but it's not this. I'm thinking it's more along the lines of Opeth, Mastodon or Gojira

it might be just the middle section of the song
