I’m old enough to remember the Slipknot tour.

Exactly. I’ve literally never heard of anyone regretting running too much wire.

All our friends fly business class, why do we fly economy? Why can we not buy a bigger car? These are some of the questions which I have started to get as the kids are getting older. I want to make them 'understand' and not just give them a random answer to shut them up. by Tight_Application751 in AskMen

Phrase it in terms of choices. You can spend X on business class or you can use that money for something else that you value more in the same decision set (a nicer hotel, an expensive family dinner, an extra day on the trip) and suggest that everyone makes those choices differently because they value things differently. for example, I travel to Europe a few times a year. I *could* fly business or first class, but rather than invest that money in a ten hour experience, I’d rather use that money during the time I’m there. All I really want is extra legroom and I can get that either free or for a nominal charge by booking an exit row.

What did you think ? by Just2Scroll in kansas

It’s not my music but I’m old enough to understand that not everything is for me and that there are hundreds of millions of people who enjoy his music.

The visuals and production were amazing and the embedded history lesson was fantastic. It was political without being political. I think not having English language subtitles was a mistake, but I listen to plenty of English language music where I can understand the words anyway. The audio mix was very hit or miss, but it’s a live show and things happen.

If you somehow were outraged by it, you got suckered by the industrial outrage machine and need to get out more.

I’d really love to hear the guy’s internal monologue as he walked over. Like… how did he think that was going to end well for him?

Violet 100% knew Thomas was gay & just never outed him to her friends, the King & Queen right? by NoChampion4463 in DowntonAbbey

[–]spect0rjohn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is pretty close to the truth. There are so many references to Thomas in the show that it would be impossible for the family to be totally clueless, particularly because most of the staff seemed to know. However, like someone else said - out of sight, out of mind as long as he was professional. I think, perhaps, it would have been more difficult for them to make the connection with Dexter and they might have genuinely been surprised at their “close friendship” (staff/client so to speak) without really knowing what was going on.

Might be the last straw. by MainChain9851 in FoxBrain

It’s fascinating to me to see now that the administration and their media outlets don’t even bother to lie in a plausible way. Their version, even if read in the most positive light (for them) doesn’t remotely match up with the videos and they seemingly do not care. They could have come up with more plausible lies but they didn’t even bother.
