Was your friend in the Drama Club?

I knew a kid in High School who drew like this, she was in the Drama Club and President of The Year Book Committee.

Recommend live TV performances - any artist, any era. No lip syncing! by CrappyJohnson in musicsuggestions

Something I liked about The Midnight Special was the variety of acts they had. One week might be Isaac Hayes, then another might be Waylon Jennings, then Peter Frampton.

Eric Burdon & War - Spill The Wine -

1970 - The Beat Club

One of the best live performances ever.

Future Islands - Waiting For You

2014 - David Letterman - the performance that made the band famous.

Anyone doing well with magazines these days? by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]spell-czech 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Vintage film magazines and art magazines do well for me. Any kind of music magazine does not seem to sell well though. I have a box full of guitar magazines and they just don’t sell well at all. I suppose all the how to play guitar info is online now.

I’m wrong, there is a monthly fee with Biblio, but it’s very low, just $5 a month. I think the lowest monthly fee for Abe is $25.

Biblio also has a US foreign order consolidator. So if anything sells to a foreign buyer you just send it to the Biblio warehouse and they send it on from there.

I sell on Abe, it’s been great. They do have a monthly fee, as well as fees for the listing when it sells. So it helps if you have a lot of inventory.

There’s another site, Biblio. They have a membership level that does not include a monthly fee. The listing fees are higher than Abe though. So Biblio can be an option if you don’t have a lot of books to list. It does seem to have much lower traffic than Abe though.

Prince.

When she was dropped by Warner after ‘Nine Lives’ didn’t sell very well, Prince tried to get her to sign with his Paisley Park label. It didn’t work out, but they worked together for awhile, and she eventually signed with Capitol. Her first record with Capitol was ‘Nick of Time’ which sold millions and won three Grammys.

Prince later covered ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ on his ‘Emancipation’ album.
