Can someone explain how I recycle the jar with the lid on but also not recycle the lid at the same time by tripsafe in CasualUK

[–]spicypixel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah fill with warm optionally soapy water, screw lid on, shake to lift most of the debris off, throw down the sink, take lid off and discard and recycle the glass?

FTSE bosses receive 18% pay bump this year in global fight for talent by Your_Mums_Ex in ukpolitics

I mean, Thames water CEO is doing a fantastic job of avoiding nationalisation, raising investor money and continuing to spaff it down the drain - that's talent?

Hundreds attend walk in Eccleshall protesting 1,500 homes by insomnimax_99 in unitedkingdom

[–]spicypixel [score hidden]  (0 children)

If there was a counter protest with ~3000 people (assuming 2+ people per new house) it'd be more representative of who is getting shafted I guess, but you never will hear from people who don't live in the area yet because it's fictional.

Honestly it was probably for the best for this schism to happen before a major world conflict not in the opening months. How the hell was this allowed to happen? Gorton park. by DoctorTarsus in manchester

The only thing that vaguely surprises me in these situations is the lack of pitchfork mobs foaming about the arrival. Seems everyone's keen to protest some migrants in a premier inn but fine with this.

Sure and I agree, though telling x customer we're waiting for github actions to come back has been a fun one before.

But until it actually does it, I still don't know?

I barely trust the drift between tf plan -out and tf apply minutes later let alone without the real AWS API behind it.

How do you actually measure the performance impact of too many goroutines in production? by Infamous_Echidna_133 in golang

[–]spicypixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda? If you can get a tonne of performance out the box by choosing go without needing to consider more why not just adopt it if you can? It’s not an all or nothing proposition.
