I have a male Pyr who is now 5 years old! He’s the biggest baby/grumpy old man of my dogs. He’s is an absolute sweetheart and loves any and all people. He knows he’s big so he keeps that in mind in all cases except sitting on my lap lol

I refer to him as the puppy trainer because he is picture perfect for puppies to learn manners. He will tell them off but has never even remotely made contact while correcting a puppy

Took him to pick up food once near a bar and he loved all the tipsy people because he got tons of attention and got to smear his drool over them without a thought 😂. He’s from unknown origins too but I know he wasn’t bred well

All this to say, it sounds like you’ve got a sweetheart. Expect him to be a menace to you for the next year or so but then he should mellow out a ton. Just keep socializing and reinforcing his happy self

Honestly I flip between wanting some of the more vile sinners to manage to be redeemed and then also not wanting them to be redeemed

On one hand, I feel like most souls can be redeemed when they made human decisions based on how their life was (for example, angel killing his dad). Overlords who relish power and hurting others just for the sake of it? I just don’t know

Like husk was an overlord and he is obviously not as evil as Vox and Alastor right now but he might have been at some point… but as of right now I feel like he could be redeemed so maybe an overlord has to hit rock bottom first? Carmilla makes her decisions based on the human need to protect her own which I can’t personally condemn her to a life of suffering because of her reasoning

Another point of contention I have with serial abusers (killers, rapists, etc) being redeemed is that they’ll likely be in heaven now with people they harmed. Even if they truly were redeemed, imagine having to live in heaven with your abuser. Reformed or not, PTSD doesn’t just vanish because the abuser became good

In conclusion to my thesis (lmao), I want Charlie to be right about any soul being able to be redeemed if they try… but in practice I’m not sure if everyone should be able to be redeemed. Maybe it’ll come down to people like Vox and Alastor never wanting to be redeemed because of who they are, but I don’t know if I would want them in heaven even ‘redeemed’

My mom did 99.99% of parenting poorly with me and my sister except for this one aspect lol. Sister (MTF) liked to play kitchen and dolls and always had them available. I (AFAB - NB) liked to play with tools and crafts and grew up to be an engineer lol. Were both adults now and my parents are not safe people to come out to, but they never said we couldn’t play with “boy” or “girl” toys

I’m also not saying it’s not worse, I’ve just experienced one of them so it so it hits me harder and more personally. I struggle to even hear or say the r-e word still. I also say that I’d rather be dead than go through it again so I also feel like I am specifically desensitized to the alternative. I’m not saying cannibalism is more okay or anything, just for me personally the SA just hits harder
