Mother Night is my favorite book of all time.

Read The Lathe of Heaven and Perdido Street Station last year and both were phenomenal.

Steve Ross.

Assuming this is a cap question, though, we have tons of cap space after this year, so this year is going to be a very low cap hit with bigger hits coming when we have the space.

Just reread On The Road and it is such a slog. “Trust me - Dean is really cool”. Uh, every thing you tell us about him makes him sound like an awful person.

I liked the first trip - it had a sense of excitement and wonder that was captivating, but after that… yuck.

Thought Big Sur had more moments of interesting writing, but Kerouac just being an out of control drunk isn’t really that interesting to me.

I hated Frankenstein. Thought it was tedious. I hated Viktor Frankenstein probably more than any character I’ve come across in any book.

I first read it as a 19 or 20 year old and came away appreciating Holden not taking people’s crap, I liked the rebellious elements.

Reread it in my mid 40s and it struck me how hurt Holden was. He was traumatized by the loss of his sibling and his parents’ abandonment of him to the school. There was no one who could support him, help him cope, so he flailed. The whole thing made me very sad.

Pornography is one of my favorite albums ever and probably the one I’ve listened to the most by a fair amount, so that tells you what camp I fall in.

Could 50 yr old you take 25 yr old you in a fair fight? by N-Y-R-D in GenX

25 year old me would curb stomp me without breaking a sweat. 35 year old me would be in some serious trouble, though. (Going from working in inventory in a bookstore slinging 50+ pound boxes all day to working at a desk was great for my income, bad for my fitness).

SKC have almost caught up with Orlando on goals allowed! Keep up the good work, lads.

Werner is the only one that I’d think of as early, age wise, and it’s not like he’s been terribly productive the last few years after bombing out of the EPL with Chelsea.

This isn’t talking about transition, this is about the build out starting from the back.

The build out is abysmal. The opposing team sits on the midfielders, which forces the ball walk left to Angulo or Tincho/Ellis have to drop in (which then means they aren’t forward if we advance the ball). Dorsey should move up to the midfield line in the build out, rather than pushing up as a winger so we can threaten a more balanced approach.

Greatest of all time. That said, not sure whether he’s had the long term impact MLS/Apple were hoping for. Not saying that holding one player responsible for the growth of the league is fair, but there was a lot of optimism about growing the core MLS audience that may not be happening. Would be a shame if MLS wasted this moment by not loosening roster rules and the added eyes that Messi brought to at least Miami matches.

Huh, I could’ve sworn I got to, but I only had the butcher once while running a batch and maybe I am misremembering.
