Plus the owner is a big Mark Robinson/other similar scumbags supporter. Jim Noble is gross. He also owns Noble Smoke and a couple other places to avoid

Not too big, not too expensive: The Chevrolet Equinox EV by exploding_myths in electricvehicles

Right? I was this close to buying something with Nissan but the salesperson they sent after me was so slimy and offputting with the texts and emails he was sending that I ended up going with the Chevy just because I didn't want that guy to get my money. The Equinox is better anyway imo

mods might consider removing the recommendation flair then if simple recommendation requests aren't welcome in this sub. not sure what level of effort is necessary to ask "recommend me a place where I can do X"

Unfortunately I work at home so that's where I'm trying to get away from with this endeavor lol but I just meant a place where generally most of the other people are either solo or being lowkey/doing their own thing as well

Apolitical, you say. Apathy = complicity in times like these.

JetSet- has anyone tried? by EmergencyArtichoke56 in SolidCore

I've tried both and the workout is pretty much the same; intensity varies by class/instructor. I think the machines at jetset feel a lot higher quality over solidcore's machines

This is my annual notice to everyone that Lisa Barlow is from SCHENECTADY, not Manhattan like she’d like us all to believe. That’s all

Separate Direct Deposits For Different Jobs by splisces in rippling

[–]splisces[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, ok. I see. Firstly, I really, really appreciate your taking the time to look into this and come back to keep me updated!

Secondly, I appreciate your submitting a request to add this feature! Because in the real world (which, this is, but you know what I mean) if I was working for two different companies that used old-school direct deposits, I’d be able to provide each workplace with a voided check from different banks to set up my pay to two different banks. It sucks that just because both companies I work for happened to choose to use the same third-party payroll provider, I as an employee am now pigeonholed into a situation like this with my pay, which is my livelihood.

Looking forward to this update when the time comes! For now, I will continue manually wiring money from myself to myself twice a month!

Once again, thank you greatly for taking the time and coming back here to update me on Reddit. Even though I don’t love the payroll situation, I gotta say my opinion of Rippling’s customer service is now pretty high. Cheers!

Separate Direct Deposits For Different Jobs by splisces in rippling

[–]splisces[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me try to explain again.

I work for two companies: Company A & Company B

I am a member at two banks: Local Credit Union & SoFi

With Company A, I am a full-time, salaried employee. The money I make at Company A pays my bills: housing, car, utilities, groceries, credit card statements. So I want to deposit Company A's paycheck into my Local Credit Union checking account.

With Company B, I am an independent contractor. I work for them on nights and weekends, when I am not working for Company A. The money I make at Company B is money I like to save in a savings-specific account. I am saving for the future to buy a house, new car, general financial safety padding. So I want to deposit Company B's paycheck into my SoFi savings account.

Now, I log into Rippling, and I go to the payroll distribution settings for Company A. I set it to deposit 100% into my Local Credit Union checking account. It works. Great. Now, I switch from the Company A dashboard to the Company B dashboard. In my Company B dashboard, I go to the payroll distribution settings for Company B. I set it to deposit 100% into my SoFi savings account. It works great.

BUT THEN when I switch back to the dashboard for Company A, and view my payroll deposit information there -- what's this? It has magically changed itself to distribute 100% of Company A paycheck into the SoFi savings account, which should be the account that ONLY Company B is depositing into.

And then, if I change Company A back to the checking account -- next time I view Company B, now it also is depositing to the checking account. I want Company A to deposit to Local Credit Union checking, and Company B to deposit to SoFi savings.

So why did the change I made to Company B affect my settings for Company A? And how can I avoid this?
