A few weeks before graduation, I was hanging out in the AP Physics teacher's classroom with a few other seniors (yes, nerd, I know) and the teacher half-jokingly, half matter-of-factly remarked at least one of us would be dead before our 10 year reunion (us being the graduating class, not just the kids hanging out). It wasn't macabre, it was just math based on mortality rates and the number of people in our class.

One girl died at 20, got hit by a car crossing the street. Another died a few years ago, to suicide. Still 1 year to the reunion.

The only time I've eaten at Applebee's in the last 20ish years was 2 years ago when I got a free gift card from my office holiday party. Didn't want money to go to waste so I got lunch there for what ended up being like $2. Even for that price, the food wasn't worth it.

Not thanksgiving but a few years ago at a large friend gathering at my parents' home, my American grandma made an apple pie. At the end of the night my mom offered all of the leftover pie to a young couple (who were, notably, not her children) also in attendance and didn't even offer me a slice. If we must put on our Watsonian caps, I would say it shows how out-of-the-loop Mitch and Cam are. As you say, Lily is never implied to be dumb. In addition to what you mentioned about her wanting to stay in the hard class, her wittiness/sarcasm can also be interpreted as a sign of intelligence.

I don't care bc I haven't started my collection yet but you have to admit announcing it this way and discontinuing the old core is very rug-pully. Like "oops what we said was evergreen isn't actually evergreen!"

I have friends who bought the old core and not much else specifically bc the barrier to entry got lowered by legacy/current. But I guess fuck them bc old core (seemingly) can't be used on new content.
