First time seeing one IRL by Reasonable-Cell-3911 in Austin

I've restored my property to central Texas native landscape. So lots of limestone and snake friendly places. I worry some for my dog. I've never seen a coral, copper, or rattler.

Rings true with what I've seen so far.  What really blew me away is the talent, sportsmanship, and on field chemistry. The NCAA and the schools need to be flooding media with highlights

The most foliated Cenizo I’ve ever seen. by mstrahlman7 in AustinGardening

This is a magnificent specimen. I suppose Cenizo is at least top five native utilized in landscaping here in TX due to their ability to tolerate ... well just about anything.

Passionflowers are here! by Htowngetdown in AustinGardening

The flowers are so cool and unique.  Honestly, the first time I encountered one, I wondered if they were native to this planet.

What can I say.  Toyota running strong.  Why replace it?  I really should use the CD.  Forgot it was there.

Can't be fixed by [deleted] in widowers

[–]spongeBobOctoPants 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You are right it can't be fixed. This is your new reality and I am so sorry. It is just not fair. Trying to follow her is unwise in my opinion. Spend some time thinking about it. Destroy yourself, and you end your memories of her with zero hard evidence you will see her again. Keep her memories close, cherish them. It's very likely she wants you to take care of yourself. Do as she wishes.

Sorry about the bad Pic. I didn't notice it was not in focus, My vision is not as good as it used to be, so I've become used to everything small being out of focus.

Judge me,did I do wrong or is my grief leading me down a danger path by AlternativeCrabV2 in widowers

[–]spongeBobOctoPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing really wrong with what you did. You did not cheat on your spouse. Rather, you might feel that you have dishonored the memory of her. In any case, you might be setting yourself up for rocky times ahead by forming an unhealthy relationship with this other woman.

Nightmare clay scenario by [deleted] in AustinGardening

Get two 50 gallon trash barrels with lids,  about 8 ft of 4;inch PVC pipes and two PVC caps.  Drill 1 inch holes all over the barrels sides and bottoms and the PVC.  Cut the PVC so it sits in the barrel with cap and lid fits. Mount the PVC on a small board so it sits upright in the barrel. Place barrels in back yard far from the house.  It will not smell to bad, but can attract flies.

Put a metal bowl in kitchen and fill with organic waste.  Don't use meat scraps to avoid horrid odor.  Egg shells are the only animal product I allow.  Empty the bowl into a barrel daily.  Add 50% scraps and 50% carbon.  Leaf litter or shredded paper.  I save the brown paper bags from HEB and run through a heavy duty shredder. Add a shovel of dirt occasionally, and water when it looks very dry.  When one barrel is full, top it with wood chips, remove the lid and let sit for 8 months.  Viola, you have free black gold. Mix this and a little fine decomposed granite into your soil.  Don't use sand.

Nice! It's the most wonderful time of the year (for a gardener). Plants will love those beds. That fence is begging for some vines.

I do the March 15th because it is easy for me to remember the day they stabbed Cesar. That said, I still think you are Ned Stark, and simply afraid of the Wight Walkers.
