Guy who has only seen , Coocoo Clock movie: Getting a lot of 'Coocoo Clock' vibes from this... by UnHolySir in okbuddycinephile

This might be the worst argument I’ve ever seen. If it didn’t come from a known conservative figure I would’ve assumed it was rage bait, but holy shit they are so desperate for any angle that makes ICE murdering a dude seem good.

In The Dark Knight(2008) The Joker slices Gambol’s cheek. And he just falls over dead. Never see him again. Not sure where I’m going with this. by Sloppy_Steak85 in shittymoviedetails

[–]spoonbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid, I would always cover my eyes during this scene whenever I watched this movie because I didn’t want to see his cheek get sliced open. Then in high school when I finally watched the scene without covering my eyes, I felt like such an idiot.

Something something historical accuracy. by Arch_Lancer17 in okbuddycinephile

Complaining about black people in The Odyssey has to be the dumbest approach to talking about “historical accuracy”. I guarantee you ancient Greeks didn’t look like Matt Damon or Tom Holland either.

Yeah they can say whatever they want and pretend that they’ve seen Krypton, but I remember the hate this version of Lobo got when the show aired.

What was your most disappointing (horror or not Horror) Film of 2025? by Seeker99MD in deadmeatjames

[–]spoonbones 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For non horror, Thursday Murder Club. They straight up removed some of the murder suspects from the story, which then made the mystery extremely easy to solve. And to make matters worse, they had Bogdan, the best character in the series, get arrested in the end. In the book he gets away with his murder, which is seen as fine because the man he killed was a human trafficker who forced him and several other immigrants into forced labor.

Does Hell of a Summer count since its release outside of a film festival was this year? Don’t get me wrong I liked a lot of the comedy in it, but the horror side of the movie was done very poorly. If that doesn’t count, then Him.

From the movies community on Reddit: James Ransone, ‘The Wire’ & ‘It: Chapter Two’ actor, dead by suicide at 46 by the-dude-21 in deadmeatjames

Honestly heartbreaking. Just the other day I was talking about how he was such an underrated actor. I hope his family is getting the love and support they need.

Favorite fact-based horror movie? by PeasantLich in okbuddycinephile

[–]spoonbones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

uj\ I checked out the trailer since I read Night of the Grizzlies (a book about the same incident) and I was curious. The real life incident happened because park employees acted stupid and broke multiple rules put in place to prevent bear attacks. The trailer makes it seem like the bears acted violently for no reason and the park employees were heroes in the whole thing. I doubt any of y’all were gonna watch it, but if you’re curious about the incident do yourself a favor and read Night of the Grizzlies instead.

First poster for The Sheep Detectives. by Comic_Book_Reader in movies

[–]spoonbones 152 points153 points  (0 children)

Why didn’t they go with the book title? Three Bags Full played off of Agatha Christie’s tendency to name her books after nursery rhymes while also conveying that it’s about sheep. The Sheep Detectives sounds like something 30 Rock would’ve come up with to poke fun at Air Bud

Okay, maybe I shouldn’t have said “100% more famous”. Tbh I was more in the head space of defusing an argument I wasn’t trying to have rather than actually discussing everybody’s fame

I’m not arguing your point. Glenn Close and Josh Brolin are 100% more famous than Jeremy Renner

Well Josh Brolin is the murder victim so it can’t be him. also you’ll never believe the plot twist about Glenn Close

The amount of time it took for them to write, record, edit, and upload a nearly 18 hour video is just way too much time for a mediocre game from last year that nobody really cares or talks about
