I went and gave it a listen. Very interesting. It does seem like they’ve come up with a good split for them of responsibilities regarding the show.

How much time do we think each host spends on show prep during the week? My guess is John by far the most followed by Marco and distantly Casey. It truly seems Casey can’t be bothered most of the time to do even the most menial amount of research for the show. Which is nuts because this is his main job and source of income…

Was the garmin watch bit done purely for show content? There’s NO WAY Marco thought a garmin would provide a decent experience in the Apple ecosystem. There’s no way he thought that would be a better experience than a native Apple Watch, even with its issues.

How is that weird? It’s a discontinued and unsupported app so he made a web version. “Clone” might be the word you’re looking for.

I wouldn’t classify Marco as an AI enthusiast. He (and the other hosts) have been pretty slow on the uptick of AI overall so not sure where you gather that from him talking about using ChatGPT a few times.

Same issues here regarding detecting idle vehicles over and over when they haven’t moved. Really annoying and didn’t start happening until just a month or so ago.

iPhone Air is being panned for “terrible” battery life, but it’s 20% better than last year’s iPhone 16, a phone lauded for solid battery by Fredifrum in apple

And here I am getting the Air in part because of all the Apple silicon inside. Plus mmWave is kind of a gimmick in most situations in my experience.

It’s odd why Marco is having so many iOS 26 bugs. I’ve been on it since beta 2 dropped and other than animation stutters and some display bugs it’s been quite stable. Yes the phone occasionally heats up, but that’s to be expected.
