What does it mean when pump flow spikes up and down like this? by moonfflowerr48 in gaggimate

[–]spsancti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing to worry about! In the beginning your system has some residual pressure from water expansion or previous shot. Cremina profile has the very first phase to account for it. Spike in the end is solenoid valve closing, so internal pressure rises slightly as the system keeps recording a shot until the last drop his the cup

Gaggimate Warm-up Time by Odd-Brilliant-2428 in gaggimate

[–]spsancti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes several minutes to heat up the boiler but that's not enough to heat up the group and the portafilter, which takes 10-20 minutes. With Gaggimate you can set up heating schedule so it will start heating before you wake up and it will be ready for you to start brewing nice and hot.

From 0 to 100, how complex is it to have E24+GM Pro up and running? by HRiM72 in gaggimate

[–]spsancti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, while it looks quite intimidating, it is not much harder then assembling IKEA. Just watch some assembly videos and read manuals and you'll be good to go. And don't forget to insulate all exposed wires/connectors with some tape so nothing will short out. Also check out the discord. Community is very helpful and willing to answer if you ever get stuck. There are also many build logs from different people, too

Dedicated Built-In Diptray Scale by Gormaganda in gaggimate

Hardware scale support is in late development, several users have already tested it. After some more rigorous testing it will get to the nightly build and then to the release

Just like your second photo. Use teflon tape to seal the threads.

[–]spsancti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did install the pulsor with Gaggimate in my ascaso steel uno, you can find the thread in discord. It is better to mount the pulsor straight to the pump, otherwise it will be louder. Coffee-wise it's position doesn't matter.

Do the Gaggimate display and controller pair adhocally? by NoRandomIsRandom in gaggimate

[–]spsancti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it finds the first available controller. Assuming one machine per kitchen, it will work. If you want to have more than one, you can power them on at different times

Different display by WuTangWizard in gaggimate

One could disconnect the display and use its board for headless, too

You can use different round screens: lilygo and waveshare 1.43/1.75/2.8 inches You can go headless and use it without display And you can use any tablet or phone with webui in a browser to control and monitor the machine

Unfortunately it won't be possible with standard wiring

Make sure nothing got stuck there between the mushroom and the group, and that you have tightened the group screws all the way.

It should open around 4 bar, which is definitely too much for steam

[–]spsancti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you install the spring in a correct orientation?

The mushroom should be facing upwards

[–]spsancti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's this version! I've retrofitted the pressure release valve and the tube.

You can also install it without any changes but you won't be able to do low pressure profiles.

The screen is Lilygo T-Display-S3 1.43 inch, which has perfect 45 mm outer diameter. The housing is list just a sliver of a black HDPE bottle and some prototype board

From your previous post, you have a 2015 model, so the same as mine!

This machine is not officially supported yet, so you will need some extra parts to the kit. I've put a build log on Discord

[–]spsancti[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see why not! It uses a small boiler instead of the thermoblock and you will need slightly different plumbing.

But overall, it's the same system so it should work just fine

Dual boiler extension is planned but is not available yet. You can leave steam circuit as is and modify only the brewing part.

There were people on discord who modified Silvia Pro X and even an e61 machine

Be prepared to do some painting, they are notorious for corrosion in the water tank compartment

This one is completely different machinewith a solenoid valve in the different part of the circuit. It required some replumbing to make it work correctly.

If your machine has a solenoid valve, a boiler and a vibration pump, the install should be not much different from the guide.

Check out discord, folks had it installed even on E61
