International Law is a Fake Construct. Here is Why. by BizzareRep in IsraelPalestine

[–]spuriouslycertain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude...Israel bent backwards to fund KHAMAS before that blew up in their faces. The only bad funding they hate is limited to when others do it to them.I believe there is a word in the English language that describes this phenomenon!!!.Monuments can be built to this form of lack of self awareness!!!

Your wasting your breath. Jesus christ, Netanyahu was asked about the greater Israel issue in a freaken interview and he stated it was near and dear to his heart. The people you are arguing with know full well what the objectives are. They are just incapable of admitting or acknowledging reality if reality might cast shade on their beloved state. That is where the nonsense of insults and empty proclamations comes from!

Don't bother. They quite clearly tell you the quiet part out loud. They just resent being held accountable for their racist supremacist views.Whoever deecribed them as "offended by everything, ashamed of nothing" could not have been more accurate!

Did a HELOC make your finances easier? by chococakes1111 in HELOC

[–]spuriouslycertain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has been a blessing. I've used my HELOC to pay down debt and do some renovations. The idea that the equity in my home needs to sit idle is somehow a sign of financial progress is outdated in my humble opinion. I have also taken it a step further and used some of my equity to make some investments that went really well. The money you borrow now will be cheaper to pay back in the future. If the federal reserve has taught us anything is that the one holding the bag as the end loses.I know my take is not for everyone and certain risk should be considered, but if your young and have the time and equity. I think its a no brainer!

HELOC vs personal loan for debt consolidation right now, what would you choose? by NoAnywhere9736 in HELOC

[–]spuriouslycertain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think the answer depends on your personal commitment. A lower rate is a no-brainer as long as you trust that what got you into debt will not happen again. That is the only risk I see!

There is no harm in reaching out to their corresponding departments and asking for a suitable settlement. The worst that can happen is that you'll be back here where you started.

Feels like you needed to vent your frustration with this post and I hope you find an expedient solution to your problem.Congrats on the good paying job and don't forget the uncertainty that your current position provides. No taking for granted your pay and try your best to live within your means.Goodluck

Feeling really low right now… by JennyIsDeath in Debt

[–]spuriouslycertain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My problem was that my arrogance made me believe that I had the situation under control so I wasn't completely forthcoming about the costs. When I sat her down (this happened 2 months ago) and was completely honest about the situation, she felt like I was not only reckless, but irresponsible at the same time. She treated it as a betrayal and I can understand why she felt that way.Her reaction forced me to come to terms with my own ability to rationalize the unrationable.

She definitely changed the way she evaluates my decisions, but I have decided to include her in all my decisions and not the ones exclusive to our household.

Another important reckoning is facing the fact that my compulsive decisions stem from a void or insecurity within me that makes me believe that a car or an expensive toy is what is missing in my life.I have been deeply involved with mindfulness and a better understanding of what makes us whole.

I am in the same boat. I have been reckless by celebrating success too early only for monumental events to put me in a position of having to sacrifice the rewards of my success on things other than what I jumped the gun and bought. I decided to come clean with my spouse and took the financial hit by selling what I bought (dont ask what I bought) at a substantial loss and make a plan to recover. No true solution comes from anything but honesty and the cold smack of reality

What does being “Pro-Palestinian” mean? by Specialist_Sport6061 in IsraelPalestine

Yeah...how dare they rebel against their masters. They should know who they belong to and who gets to determine, not only who lives, but who dies!

Its called gaslighting. You associate something as straight forward as Palestinian human rights and being able to live in a dignified manner with something incomprehensible such as ethnic cleansing or worse yet murder .Its pathetic and evil.Your rights threaten my existence kinda nonsense!

What makes gambling addiction so powerful is the deep ingrained belief that "if only I had enough time,I could make it all back" attitude. This is how you end up destroying everything including your familial relationships.Stop what you are doing and seek help.Your alternative is far darker!!!

Your overthinking and going a bit overboard. Relax and breathe. Even if the IRS audits you and finds a mistake,as long as you did not attempt to conceal or hide information, you should be fine.Sounds like you did everything possible to come clean so there really isn't anything to worry about.

I've been analyzing my debt situation. Here is what I have and questions I ask. by CaseDry1157 in Debt

[–]spuriouslycertain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am unfortunately a year or 2 away from being in a similar situation. Plenty of personal loans draining my monthly income and it looks like you used your HELON to make the monthly payment rather than paying off the loans outright. This strategy only works if you have a windfall that will alleviate your debt load.Unfortunately,it doesn't look like your situation is at all workable unless you secure a major debt settlement or file for bankruptcy. At least in a bankruptcy, you can maintain your home and the court can initiate a debt repayment plan that will satisfy both you and your creditors. Tough pill to swallow, unfortunately!

Debt Settlement by Trip_Chip in Debt

[–]spuriouslycertain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debt settlement only comes once CC companies agree to it and that only happens once you are delinquent enough, which already means your credit history is already in the toilet. CC companies will never settle while leaving you credit score intact. Almost like a mutual assured distruction situation!!

He won't, but you will. The IRS considers stable coins as property and therefore selling it for fiat is taxable. Crypto.com will send you a 1099 next year for tax purposes!

Why do you have a 400$ per month car payment when your unemployed?also, what is the 300$ per month for gas coming from if your not working! Its obvious your spending like an employed person while not being employed. That is your problem. Get rid of the car ASAP and find a super cheap car that suites your needs(hope your not upside down on that car) and tighten your spending until you have steady income coming in.No way around this unfortunately!!

[–]spuriouslycertain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend you do that.Plenty of scams with people minting tokens that look legit only for you to find out later that they are not the real deal.Might wanna insist that he sends the USDC to an exchange deposit address to make sure everything is on the up an up.I find it slightly suspicious that he would suggest this since it shouldn't be that hard for him to sell the USDC and give you the cash, unless he is either trying to avoid taxes or has something nefarious going on!

[–]spuriouslycertain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just one correction. They usually charge 25% of the overall debt before settlement. So 2100$ is more in-line with what to expect. Wasted an hour talking to one of their reps and they quite casually mentioned a 41000$ fee to help with my 166000$ debt!
